Guest guest
I've just about decided to switch from DOS 5.1 to windows WP7. I do have WP10, however, Stedman's spellchecker isn't compatible with that yet so I'll have to use the version 7 I have. My question, would the files I have in DOS 5.1 be compatible with the 7? In other words, say if I have a file of doctor names and addresses, will I be able to open that in the Windows program? Also, are the keyboard commands the same in all WP versions, DOS and windows? I haven't installed it yet and am trying to find out as much information as I can. If anyone is using WP, what abbreviation expander are you using that is similar to the PRD? If anyone can help I'd appreciate it. I've been collecting and compiling info on Word but just feel that it's probably easier to go to a Windows WP product after using the DOS product for so long. Someone on this list did advise me to do that. I don't have to go to Windows yet, I am only preparing myself. Part of the reason is that I can print on my laser through my DOS program but I can't change the layout of the envelopes so I have to print those on the dot matrix and they don't match. I think that is a problem that can't be helped. I know I have a lot of questions and appreciate any help. Thanks! Deb
