Guest guest
Are you into reading.... Children with STarving Brains is good..J. McCandeles Healing and Preventing Autism.. McCarthy is a good primer If I were starting all over again.,,, first I would check for IGE food allergies.. this is usually covered by insurance. If any allergies show up take them out of diet,,, then even if there are no allergies, begin removing gluten, casein, soy, and corn from diet. Go on a Specific Carbohydrate Diet to start... you can add corn back in later, if there are no allergies to it. Recheck allergies every 6 to 8 months because they tend to become identifyable as the body detoxes. Find a TACA meeting to help and get their free guide book by attending a meeting. Another good free thing is the free DVD from houston enzymes www.houston-enzymes.com If you go to www.greatplainslaboratory.com you can ask for their free information brochure. Even if you don't plan on using them for labs, the information in the packet is very helpful. Kirkmans and New Beginnings are supplement companies. They have free catalogues with tons of good info on supplements that might help your child. For a starter diet, you can go to www.stankurtz.com and check out the cave man diet. It is pretty basic and doesn't cost that much. A juicer does help if you can afford that. BAsically when we started, we just took out gluten and casein at first. We ate stews and veg and fruit, and my kid recovered from all his weirdness and tantrums in a couple of weeks. He was suddenly able to understand and we could understand him. He got even better as we pulled out soy, egg,and corn. He's a normal boy in a normal class. We've been able to get him medical attention for heavy metals and more since we never had him labeled. He was one of those that professionals couldn't really attach a specific label to anyways since he didn't fit neetly into a box. Sometimes the labels can prevent medical treatment so watch out for that. > > I have a 4 yrs old son diagnosed with autism.... He is now in CPSE. He has some words but don't use it consitenly. A lot of repetitive behavior like clapping, jumping and make wierd sounds. He also have very poor eye contact. I would like to start him on alternative treatment. Unfortunately, I have limited income. I need some ideas on what I should start doing for my son. Please help me..... > > Thank you! > > Jackie > Sent via BlackBerry from T-Mobile >

Guest guest
Where did you start the panel of testing? We have a gastroenterologist, endocrinologist, DAN doc, pediatrician and have not been successful as yet with getting a baseline read so we have been moving forward full force with diet, supplement and biomedical therapies the best we can until we get this maze figured out. Thanks for sharing those recommendations below, I will look into those as well! > > > > I have a 4 yrs old son diagnosed with autism.... He is now in CPSE. Guest guest
Another free thing... There are lots of free webinars at www.greatplainslaboratory.com Some are recorded and can be viewed on computer. > > > > > > I have a 4 yrs old son diagnosed with autism.... He is now in CPSE. Guest guest
For those on limited income I always suggest that you start with Rx things first. You'll still want a good multi on board and maybe some CLO. If you can do the diet, also start with that. In order to get Rx, though, you'll need to see a DAN. Where do you live and maybe we can help you find one that is close to you that possibly take insurance (don't hold your breath, there aren't many). As far as other options, Lend4Health provides no-interest micro loans and there are grants available through Generation Rescue and TACA that can get you in to see a DAN. Guest guest
Meant to also say that Lend4Health does not do credit checks, in case you're wondering. Guest guest
Tammy, They both take insurance. You should call their offices to see if they take your insurance. Do you want me to forward some info on what they do medically for kids? Their phone numbers are in this info. Just email me privately and I will send it. Guest guest
I'm New york redident. I went to see a DaN but she doesn't give Rx. She only gave referral for blood test and give supplements. My son is very picky. Every time I try to give him the supplement he vomits. Even if I dilute it with water. Is there any other trick. Any suggestion will be aPpreciated.
