Guest guest
Hi Sharon! I have to agree with you about the weather. Its like that here in MT, warm one day and snowing the next. The kids are out for spring break for a week, so I will be busy with them. Maybe I can get them to clean their room. I have an appointment with my primary doc tomorrow. I have all my questions and concerns written down so I don't forget anything. I also have my application for medical marijuana for her to fill out. Being a touchy subject, I will leave it at that. I am just waiting for spring, hoping that will perk up the energy levels. Jolie
Guest guest
I read, every day. This group is my family. While sometimes yes, I AM quiet, it is usually because I am bummed and don't want to drag everyone down with me. I try to post more upbeat stuff, and sometimes there just isn't any. But reading the posts is a lifeline I cannot and would never willingly do without. This winter is especially hard, not just the bleary view (I will attach a pic I just took from the bedroom window) but missing Robbin is the worst. I am trying to beat depression, it attacks me daily, sometimes hourly. And I usually go into "hibernation mode" in winter anyway... So the answer is, while I might not always post, I am always reading and always here and NEED the people in this family. Akiba http://www.youravon.com/cmichels Check In Please! Guest guest
Hi everyone. I'm doing well, no new symptoms. I've been on Copaxone since Nov '08. I was dx'd in Oct of 08. I still experience mild numbness in my right hand on occasions which is ok because initially before I got diagnosed, I had numbness in my hands, feet, and legs in conjuction with electric shock in my lower extremities when I bent my neck. I still work full time and have a 13 month old son at home so that keeps me busy. I also exercise by lifting weights. I am due to see my Neuro on Thursday. -Shane > > I'm trying to see how many people are reading this group. Please CHECK IN!! > > While you are checking in.... > > How is MS treating you? Guest guest
Me……… Have spent a frantic pani-stricken week because our septic tank collapsed last weekend, we got estimates of over $7000 to replace it … needless to say, we do not HAVE $7000 and can’t get it. Neighbor who boards his horses here used to install septics as a living, has a backhoe, etc. He told us who to call, we bought a new tank, he is installing ot for us in return for horse-boarding (which we like anyway – like having our own horsies without the vet bills!) Thank you, Lord… Had a bad couple weeks of the wobblies, spent most of the time sleeping or just sitting, but am beginning to feel better. Got a new copy of my separations form, which is why I haven’t gotten an answer from the VA yet (they didn’t like the first copy) so now am back to waiting…. Maybe someday I will see a doctor before I die of old age…. T in WY " You get a wonderful view from the point of no return... Guest guest
,I feel for you. When we were at my nannys(my gma) her septic tank backed up and omg was it a hassle! And they just had it emptyed 10 mons ago. The toilet started backing up and the shower so we were limited on showers and could only flush the toilet for number 2. My poor gma. They have to spend 600 to a 1000 dollars to have it drained and they do not have the money so have to rough it for now. Sounds like a good trade though. Hope it gets fixed soon. Hope you are having a good day. lots of hugz cassy Check In Please! I'm trying to see how many people are reading this group. Please CHECK IN!! While you are checking in.... How is MS treating you? Guest guest
Sharon, I am reading when I can. Still on Rebif and Ritalin which seem to keep most of the symptoms at bay. Still struggle with fatigue even with the Ritalin. Hate to imagine what it would be like without J High school Senior daughter has been down with a major case of mono for the past month. Getting her well has been a major focus in between college visits. I am still teaching 5th grade Special Ed. Love the kids, hate the paperwork. Long and busy days especially with state testing dates approaching. This is the first year that special ed scores will count for your district so it is a stressful year. There is my life in a nutshell. Hope you are well. Connie B From: MSersLife [mailto:MSersLife ] On Behalf Of Sharon Sent: Sunday, March 01, 2009 8:00 AM To: Group Subject: Check In Please! What have you been doing to keep yourself busy? Hi Sharon, I read the messages in between working and trying to figure out my life. I am waiting to see a Endocrinologist because my thyroid has stopped working and I have been diagnosed as a Diabetic So life is more complicated. I have 7 medical professionals to try and make sure they all get the same information and that my medications don’t cause more problems than they already have. I see the messages but I respond when I have time or if I really have something to contribute. I feel like my life is out of control and now it is doing downhill faster and I can’t catch up. Guest guest
Well, my itching is driving me crazy (at times) it seems to come and go. I am doing better now than at other times which is nice. My neuro wants me to go to Mayo or to U of M and have a complete workup since he can't give me a true diagnosis yet and that's all. Oh, and I am freezing my & *% off because it is sooo cold 13 degrees today and with the wind chill it is -1 degrees. Hope you are all well as we can be with the monster. Guest guest
Sharon,I'm reading messages. Sometimes I reply, a lot of times, I don't. Fatigue is my biggest issue. Other issues are present to varying degrees. I choose not to suggest MS. I had an MRI in 2005 and it showed no evidence of MS. I know that there is a small percentage of people with MS that do not have lesions show up in MRI scans. For now, I just deal with my symptoms. I had a bad pain spasm in my back. It was the same time as I had a UTI. But, the location of the pain caused the medical provider to think it was not a kidney infection. Anyway, I was put on Cipro for the UTI, the day after I finished the antibiotic, I had another spasm that knocked me to the floor. This time, there was no infection. I took Flexeril for the spasms. I stay busy with learning watercolor painting.Donna in WA
Join Care2.com's Race for Pets!
Subject: Check In Please! To: "Group" <mserslife >Date: Sunday, March 1, 2009, 5:59 AM I'm trying to see how many people are reading this group. Guest guest
Hi all! I'm still here. I have been sooooo busy. I moved my grandmother in with me about a month ago. As you all may or may not know, her son, my father, also lives with me. He has lived with me over a year now. They both have congestive heart failure along with diabetes among other problems. My grandmother is very ill and very stubborn. Well, she has decided to move back to her home and my stress levels are through the roof so I'm taking her home this weekend. It is one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I don't want her to live alone and yes she will be on home health, but it is no where near enough help for her. But she insists and refuses to go to home so I'm left with no choice really. She sees how hard this is on me and what it is doing to my condition and is leaving even if she has to take a bus. I'm scared to death something will happen to her, but again, I have no choice to take her home. I'm so close to an attack and too much more of taking care of her on my own will definitely throw me into one. I'm torn apart mentally and emotionally. There is so much more to this story, but I'm sure you all don't want to hear me dump and I honestly don't have the energy to dump it all right now. I love you all and I do read your posts. I lurk yes and post nothing since moving her in. Dad is doing well since his bypass in January. His docs are talking heart transplant now so we still have a long hard road ahead with him. There is so much on my plate right now and I could really use all of your prayers. I'm in tears as I'm typing this so I'll close for now. Love to you all. Goodnight. Guest guest
Sharon & MSers, Terri checking in. Things have been interesting for Me since Christmas when I fell off a "little" step ladder changing a light bulb in my garage. I should have been content with the 60 watt bulb I screwed in but thought I'd put the 100 watt bulb up instead. That was definately a poor choice on my part. My right wrist was fractured pretty bad. The radius had 5 or 6 fractures some displaced and angulated. The ulna also has a fracture but not as severe. Had surgery on the 30th with rods, plates and screws. They are the type that are a perminant part of My arm forever. Yesterday when I went for follow-up and my cast was removed...YeeHaa!!!! Now when I see my neuro on the 13th I'm going to ask him to put me back on Avonex. My right hand is far from being able to do the Copaxone daily. I was on the Copaxone for 14 months and it didn't help me or improve any of my MS symptoms.
