Vicki - I just really read that - Meat and Cheese once

a week - really, that's all??? OMG...when I think of

how much cheese I'm eating. I go get my cholesterol

blood drawn this Thursday. I'm in trouble, oh yes, no

doubt about it.

Is the metallic taste something that is constant or does it come and go? The reason I am asking is because I remember reading about a lady that would get a taste like that in her mouth and then she would space out a little for a few seconds and then everything would be normal again. It turned out she was having small seizures. I can't remember what was causing them. It was a while ago that I read that but it stuck in my mind because I thought it was unusual.

Gee, ...sounds like you have been struggling to

get nutritious food into your system...you need it!

Any idea why you have that metallic taste?

Hmmm...well, Vicki's suggestion about the protein

shake is a good idea! Hope you can do it.

May you have enough happiness to make you sweet,

enough trials to make you strong,

enough sorrow to keep you human,

and enough hope to make you happy.

Hi Lynn :-)

I know I need it!!! Thanks Vicky for the idea...definatly something

to consider till I get this all straightened out.

Not sure, but I think it had to be one of the meds I was on at that

time that was causing the metallic taste. I know a number of them

can potentially cause this, so that seems to most logical explanation.

Since I weaned myself off all of them at the same time though I am not

able to say which one was the culprit. It was a real bummer though!!!

Was actually enjoying food for the first time ever and was disappointed

to have that taken away again. Ah well...it DID stop me from eating

so much and that was probably a blessing. I am guessing since I don't

have a scale in my house, but I would not be surprised if I have lost atleast

15 pounds just in the last month due to my appetite issue and considering

the weight I had put on from the pred, this is a good thing.

Oh, wanted to share because I am so tickled, that my face is already

looking tons better!!! Can actually make out some cheek bones for

the first time in a while!!! And this is on 20mgs, so there is hope

friend!!!

BIG hugs,

Thanks for sharing this Zanna :-)

Now that you mention it, I remember reading something about this also

in all my siezure research on my son. Mine was a constant there for

a while, so seems to lend more to it being med related, but its definatly

something that I will keep in mind in case it ever returns again.

That's a nice weight loss, ! ;o) Any weight

loss is a nice weight loss!! Tough way to do it,

though.

Very cool on finding your cheekbones again! Wahooo!!
