HI Chris

The manufacturers have got it wrong on their website about Armour Thyroid containing 100 mcgs Thyroxine and it seems they have now put this right according to June, though I haven't checked personally. The figures I have quoted in the Armour paper are for each tablet and for one months supply as quoted by the NHS Prescription Pricing Division . I need to use information that is there in black and white from an authorative source that can be verified. If I changed that, it would lose credibility - and so would I, I think.

Thanks though Chris.

Luv - Sheila

Re: Armour Dosing

Sheila this is very important as it effects your costings.Based on what the manufacturers say 1 grain = 60mg armour thyroid is equivalent to 100 mcg levothyroxine. 1 grain = £17.88 for 100Cost for replacing 200 mcg levothyroxine with 2 x 1 grain of armour would be 17.88 for 50 days with is about £10.00 per month, even lower than what you have quoted.LuvChris>> But this is not taking into account the contribution of T2, which although not measured as so many mg, must be present in the equation of the comparison with thyroxine.> > Val> > The Forest Website is incorrect. I wrote to them long ago pointing this out, as people were believing 1 grain of Armour was equivalent to 100 mcgs thyroxine. > > Luv - Sheila>
