This is a great site. Thank you so much! Any advice on which flours to

choose? For example, should almond flour be blanched or natural? Does it

make a difference nutrition or baking-wise? Are they all SCD legal? Thanks

Almond flour and hazelnut flour should be blanched. The other

nuts are not blanched. Just be sure to order flour that is made

from plain nuts. You don't want any that have been salted or

roasted.

I was told by other mom's that their flours are o.k. I'm not sure about

almond. We don't use it due to reactions from salicylates. I ordered the

cashew and it is just made to flour with raw cashews. I also use pecan and

hazelnut from Whole Foods with no problems or reactions.
