Guest guest
I don't think this is a good idea since iodine effects heart-rate. This is why the FDA monitors it so tightly. Slow absorption is best. This is why iodine pills come in the potassium iodide form, to keep them safer due to heart issues. I do think that transdermal is good though, and it appears that iodine does absorb through the skin, so no need to help it out. If you were to try it on yourself, you would be able to feel heart issues right away, but with our kids, we can't keep check, so I always have to be extra safe with them. Love and prayers, Heidi N We are trying to build up our iodine levels, but it is slow going. They say about 6 months to a year to get back up to a normal level and then continue maintenance on top of that. So here is my thought, Can we use DMSO for a transdermal iodine transporter for faster/more complete absorption if we start with real small doses to make sure we are not having too rapid of die-off?
