Guest guest
Two EMTs Deliver Their Own Baby POSTED: 9:30 a.m. EST February 13, 2004 BOZEMAN, Mont. -- Two emergency medical technicians in Bozeman have delivered a baby for the first time. It just happened to be their own. But that wasn't the plan. The couple planned to have the birth induced Wednesday. But around midnight, labor began. They called for an ambulance, but it arrived too late. Baby Charlotte decided to make her entry into the world right then and there. Dad, Cary , used a pocketknife to cut her umbilical cord. Mom, Colleen Montgomery, says she was glad to see her colleagues arrive from the Big Sky Fire Department. She says she later enjoyed the warm ambulance ride with her friends after the birth.
