Guest guest
Can anyone give me advice on how to help my son? He's just turned 6, weighs only 35 lbs and has terrible issues with yeast. He's so bloated that the doctors are looking to test for Hirschbrung's disease. Right now, we're using Amphotericin B, which I think is helping (causing lots of diarrhea and yellow stools). In the past we've used Nystatin, Diflucan, Three Lac (caused facial tics), Super Pro Bio, Pro Bio Gold, and CD Biotic. Has anyone used VSL #3 with success? He is also currently gfcfsf. Thank you, Nadia
Guest guest
For yeast, we generally avoid sugars which includes limiting fruit, use a high dose (strep free) probiotic like Custom Probiotics, Candex on a very empty stomach, and Rizols have worked wonders here. For us, even prescription antifungals did not work well unless we limited sugars. As far as bloating, if it's constipation, hopefully, more experienced parents will chime in....'s aloe and fiber were enough to help my son but, I know for more serious constipation issues you'll need more. If ThreeLac caused facial tics for your son, VSL 3 may do the same as I believe both contain strep. patircksmom wrote: Can anyone give me advice on how to help my son? Guest guest
Thank you for your response. We've had him on a very limited sugar diet. We've also had him on a yeast free diet too. He has been on a course of Miralax for 4 weeks now to keep him regular (he never seemed to have a problems, went every day, but wanted to make sure stool wasn't building up in him). I am a little worried about strep and VSL 3. We haven't tried Three Lac in 3 years. If I decide to go ahead with it, I will keep a close watch for any symptoms. > > > > > > Can anyone give me advice on how to help my son?
