Guest guest
Hi Dennis, It usually takes the Enbrel awhile to work. Did your rhuemy " decrease " or " increase " the prednisone? If he increased it, you should feel some relief soon from the swelling & inflammation. He could have put you on something stronger than Darvocet until the Enbrel kicks in, but that is probably why the steroid increase..? It must be difficult to work two jobs trying to " keep the wolf from the door. " Perhaps if you still feel so miserable with pain in a few days, give your rhuemy a call and see if he can't prescribe something stronger for at least when you go to bed. Depending on your work, you might not want to be taking something stronger during those times anyway....well..you might *want* to, but is it safe? I mean..do you run a machine..or do somethng that if you are on something stronger for pain, it might put you or others in danger. Not trying to be a poop here dennis, just realistic. So sorry you need to work *two* jobs, it must be quite a challenge! from Wisconsin, Tricia " I Hope You Dance! The plaqenuil doesnt seem to be doing the job. My hands are swelling at the knuckles and finger joints and I am getting bad cramps in them everyday. My ankles feel like they are going to explode majority of the time. He is going to reduce my prednisone to 30mg a day from 40mg a day. He still wants to keep me on the darvacet for pain but I think I need something stronger. Anyone have any thoughts. I havent been posting cause I am working two jobs to get caught up on my bills because of my last flare put me way behind on everything from house to car payments so fun fun fun. thanks al for listening Dennis Brock

Guest guest
Dennis, Good luck on the enbrel. I too found that the plaquenile didn't work for me. After a while my body calmed down some and now I am being maintained on a rotation of non-steroid anti inflamitories and cox 2 inhibitors. Try not to work too hard or you might worsen the Stills, which will bring on more bills...isn't the dragon delightful. He keeps us on our toes (so to speak) at all times!!! Guest guest
Lynn, Down 6 points is better than being up 50. Just be very thankful it is good news. Things happen slowly with the immune system. Lynda At 02:33 PM 12/20/2007, you wrote: >My ANA is down a huge (HA) 6 points. I greatful it is down and not >up. It was 116 last time and 110 this time. Guest guest
, I have been thinking about you. How are you feeling? Are you on thyroid meds? I hope you are feeling good as well. I am just okay. I am in a bad spell right now but I hope it passes soon. I wished it had waited until after the holidays. Love, Lynn > > > > Lynn ~ > > You are still taking steps forward ! ! ! > > They may be baby steps, but they are > > still one foot in front of the other, moving > > forward ! ! Yeah ! !
