Guest guest
, I noticed you wrote 500mg 3x a day for Valtrex, but then I saw on an older post that you wrote 250mg 3x a day. Just wanted to make sure that I have the dosage right. We give 250 mg 3x a day which is the 500mg pill that we break in half. Did you start low and then build up? I've been trying to decide if we need to up the dosage b/c DS is breaking out in little red dots around his mouth/chin again, and want to come to my Dan with more information about other people having higher doses. Thanks again! Guest guest
Hi Shiri.I do not recall ever saying that I gave my son 250mg. 3x a day, since our son has only ever been on 500mg. 3x a day. when he started on Valtrex he was 38lbs. I would check with Cheryl L. about dosage with Valtrex. She is the Valtrex Guru. Our originally DAN was Neubrander & he prescribed 500mg 3x a day. And now we are with a new DAN, and my son is 40lbs., and he agrees with the dosage, so... Our dose is 500mg. 3x a day.Yes, we did build up, it took about two weeks to 21 days to work up to the full dose. It's been awhile, so I would need to double check my notes. But I believe that is how long it took us to build to his regular dose.Sent from my iPhoneOn Oct 2, 2010, at 3:11 PM, "Shiri" wrote: , I noticed you wrote 500mg 3x a day for Valtrex, but then I saw on an older post that you wrote 250mg 3x a day. Guest guest
It was in a previous post (I copied it below) that I was reading after doing a search on Valtrex dosage. Just wanted to make sure, thanks! I think we are going to try go up to 500mg as well. Hi Kerri, We worked on multiple issues. Yes, he is a viral kid, but that was only one of our issues... My son is caught up in all areas of language and socialization. These are the things that helped us in the language, social area (not in any special order..) LDN (2mg.) (Rx) Bethanecol 1tsp. 2x day (Rx) Fermented CLO w/ one drop of GSE L-Methylfolate (Folinic acid -- Rx) MB12 shots (every day) (Rx) Oxytocin (1 spray 2x day) (Rx) Valtrex (250mg 3x a day) (Rx) MB12, LDN, and Valtrex all kick up yeast (LDN does not for some, but for us it did), so to balance the yeast w/give Diflucan 90mg. 1x a day So it's 7 scripts, plus his compounded Ibuprofen (seems like a lot), but we tried to treat w/naturals for a long time, and there were only minimal gains. We then turned to scripts, and this is where we are (in a state of recovery. He even has a best friend!!) The other supps we use daily are: DRN formula (basic multi vitamin.) 1tsp. of Ibuprofen, and 2tsp. Alina 2x a day, when parasites are an issue. Enzyme complete DPP-IV w/ Isogest, one tablet before EVERY snack AND meal 10 drops of milk thisle in water 2x a day oxy powder if he doesn't poop by dinner (he usually does, now, though) and activated charcoal for " clean up, " epsom salt baths every night for detox. SCD diet... Hope this helps!! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >>From: <@> > > > > > > > >>Subject: video of my recovered son [1 Attachment] > > > > > > > >>To: mb12 valtrex > > > > > > > >>Date: Wednesday, September 22, 2010, 7:56 PM > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >>this is a video of me son, taken this evening.. > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Enzyme complete DPP-IV w/ Isogest, one tablet before EVERY snack AND meal 10 drops of milk thisle in water 2x a day oxy powder if he doesn't poop by dinner (he usually does, now, though) and activated charcoal for "clean up," epsom salt baths every night for detox. > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Our new DAN is Dr. Larry in Lansdale, PA. He came highly recommended by parents on this list and the Autism Mercury list and a few personal friends here in Philadelphia. He us the only DAN that Andy Cutler (of AC Chelation), likes and recommends. He has a son on the spectrum and he is an amazing & wonderful doctor/person who listens to parents, and does not try to line his own pockets with money. He has a 6-8 month waiting list. HTH,Sent from my iPhone Hello ,I am new to this group. My son's diagnosed with PDD and feeding/sentivity issue.
