Guest guest
Nan, You do need to find a doctor to help with your pain, neck and arm... I guess I was lucky and mine is not so bad any longer... Try a chiropractor to work out that arm maybe? I am not sure what to tell you to do... You sound exhausted trying to find an answer to help you... Does Dr. Kolb suggest any solution for you... Maybe you should e-mail her... Could you have mold in your home? I know Dr. Kolb told me explant seems to help all unless the few who have moldy homes... I am just trying to rack my brain to find you relief... Sorry I could not be of any more help to you.. I typed in natural pain relief on my aol and got tons of hits... Here is one site that caught my eye... www.023zone.com I remember using horse ointment for pain... It is used for racing horses and when horsed hurt themselves... I will find you the name of it I have to ask my sister, she has horses and gave me some...It did help but was very strong to smell... Good Luck and try the Mucinex God Bless, ~See AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter.
Guest guest
Rogene, That is so Funny... sounds like Hubby has some memory issues himself... He needs the foot bath... Anyhow the beads in them wraps will stink or melt if over heated yes...I forgot about using that neck wrap so much, I wonder if Nan can find some relief... When I traveled I used to bring it with me and take into gas stations and heat the thing up... I still suffer if I sit to long in a chair, but not as badly... Thanks for the funny story... I am so glad you had your robe, how embarrassing... You need to bring a cell phone out with you. God Bless, ~See AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter. Guest guest
I know the dr thing just brings me down. I am in severe pain though. I can't move my neck and my arm is numb, hard to take care of kids when the pain is so bad. I have it in my arms neck and shoulders. I do not have anxiety so it is frustrating to be constantly told it is this. I do know what anxiety and depression feel like, of course everyone does, but I have some sort of nerve damage and no amount of positive thinking helps. I went to this one naturalist last week, she gave me the " I am well speech " and feels all illness is emotional . I went home and followed her advice, and it put me completely knocked out in bed for two days after trying to act well. I think it is a balance. I make myself get up and live, but the pain is just awful. When I just had fatigue I could just get through it. This is different. I am not at all a big drug taker, but at this point would take anything to manage the pain. I don't know of any " natural " pain reliever. I do baths and massage, they help for the time, but I am right back into pain. If I could manage the pain, I could deal with it. I can't exercise at all, I end up in bed for days just for a walk. I think the environmental doctor will help. I have lost my way for sure. I gave up the foot baths out of being too tired. I am glad you found something that has helped. Love Nan
Guest guest
Oh Nan, You have been having a really bad time . . . I'm praying the environmental doctor has some answers for you. The pain is not in your head . . . And you should be depressed with everything going on. Anyone whose has had as many issues as you have who is jumping up and down for joy would have to be crazy! The idea of accessing the subconscious part of our brain is another issue. . . . By learning how to use your subconscious mind, you can learn how to instruct your body to heal itself. . . I know you've seen feats that defy logic . . . people walking on glass or hot coals, swinging through the air with hooks in their back . . . They can do this because they know how to use the subconscious part of their brain to control their body functions. . . . It's like when you drive your car . . . You get in, glance at your keys, stick them in the ignition, turn the car on, shift into gear and take off. . . What you don't do is look at the keys, think about what to do with them, look for the ignition, decide how to insert the key, which way to turn it, where the gear shift is and how to move it. . . All that is done automatically because your subconscious is the boss. . . Things that you've done multiple times, things you believe about yourself, things other people say about you - that you believe, are all part of your subconscious. Your subconscious is directing virtually everything you do in your waking hours. If learn how to purposely program the subconscious part of our mind, we can give ourselves strategies for handling everything! . . . What ever we want from ourselves. . . . That's why it's so important to keep thinking positive thoughts . . . If we tell ourselves we're getting sicker and sicker, our subconscious grabs that bit of information and makes it a reality. . .. If we tell ourselves that every day we are getting better and better, the subconscious accepts that and makes that your reality. . . . I'm probably not doing a very good job of explaining this . . . It would take many hours. . . That's why I recommend the Silva Mind Control Course . . . Not only does it feel good while doing it, you will learn the tools to make your entire life better. It only takes a few minutes a day. . . You can do a free mini-course online. .. I think it's lesson two that has an outstanding guided relaxation recording that makes the whole course worthwhile. Dede is an outstanding example of using her mind to overcome pain and to stay alive, despite her doctors worst predictions. She's done it with Silva Mind Control. . . It doesn't mean she's well because she wills it . . . but she has coping skills to manage whatever comes her way. Hubby just brought dinner home . .. It's been one of THOSE days! Guest guest
I made some of those neck heating pads . . . Easy to make . .. It's just an oversize collar (I used quilted fabric) . . .I made vertical seams from the outside towards the neck . . . Leaving the area next to the neck open from one side to the other. Using a tube and a funnel, I filled it with rice - then sewed the tube hole shut . . . If anyone is interested, I can send a sketch explaining in more detail. There's hardly a winter night that goes by that both my hubby and I don't use it (We have two). .. It also heats the foot of the bed nicely! Just don't microwave it too long . . . Smelly! . . . I overheated it while staying at a hotel once . . . The microwave was much faster than mine. . . It started smoking before I caught it. It really made the room stink! Oh . . . you'll love this one . . . This morning, I was in my sauna (naked) . . . downstairs in the screened in porch. . . My hubby stopped by to tell me he was going to town . . . When I tried to go back in the house, I found the door locked. Fortunately I had my robe in the sauna. . . Often times I wouldn't have . . . I found our hidden key without parading for the neighbors and got inside the house. So, everything was OK. . . Another time, he drove off, closing the garage door while I was working in the yard . . . I was locked out for hours . . . no water, no food, on a summer day. . . He was in more than a little bit of trouble for that! Hugs, Rogene Re: , thanks for the post Rogene, How interesting I might check into this site... I know my arm was in so much pain and my neck, which showed up on an MRI... Doctors just did nothing about it either... So I had no choice but to stay in pain from it... I did do a chiropractor once a week for a while til I couldn't afford the $25 dollar visit and that was a discount from him... I wonder if Nan could benefit from this little device I bought, my chiro told me to get this for relief of pain.... It is sold at most pharmacy's it is blue and heavy with little beads inside of it, a Neck wrap... You put it in the microwave for around 2 minutes, put on the neck 15 minutes on and off over and over, I also did this with my arm... I stretched daily... I also bought this tiny little infra red massager at Walmart, even Dr. Kolb went to Walmart and bought her one, since she knows infra red has been know to kill mold... So it has a infra red heat light on one side and a massager on the other, hand held and I think it was like $12 or so... I also used that horse ointment... I will find the name of it... So looking back I did do stuff to fix my arm... Chiro, then heated neck wrap, used for my arm as well, horse ointment and the little infra red heat massager.... This might be of help to our Nan God Bless, ~ See AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter.
Guest guest
Lynda, After the first incident, we did . . . Never thought about anything like that happening before! Guest guest
Nan, I'm really unhappy to hear that you continue to struggle so much with your recovery. Every once in awhile we hear that from a woman on the group, that recovery is just elusive for them, at least for a period of time. But I've heard from some of the older former members, and they've seemed to begin recovery in small steps. In time this all gets better as you detox and allow your body to heal. It may take alot longer than you hoped it would. The pain sound unbearable...I am thinking coffee enemas...have you tried them? They are reputed to be effective for pain relief. Kacey Long told me that they helped her. I am not sure how long she was on pain meds, but I know she took some drugs. I can't remember if you've tried them or not. If you need the pain relief through some type of drug, please don't be afraid to get on a small dose to help you cope. Just be careful that you don't become dependent upon them. I hate to recommend drugs, but there are times when you just have to get some relief. Have you had anyone suggest any adrenal support? It seems to me that if you are that wiped out after walking or any effort at normal living, your adrenals are in need of some major help. YOu cannot push it when you are feeling like this. It will only delay the healing. Get fresh air and sunshine when you can, but resting only, and not any exercise in the process. Just let your body get the fresh outdoors. The sunshine will give you Vitamin D, which I am sure your body needs. I hope things start changing around for you. I don't want you to feel like you are lost...it can seem that way, but you have to stay hopeful! I know I felt lost at one time, but eventually I got things to start healing (through fasting and regular detoxing), and just believing that God did not bring me that far in my faith just to abandon my healing. I never gave up. God bless you Nan. Don't give up. There are answers somewhere...they just need to be found. Patty > > I know the dr thing just brings me down. I am in severe pain > though.
