Guest guest
What program is this happening in? Just a wild guess here, but try going to your toolbar ... go to Window/Remove split. If you don't see it as an option, then don't worry about it. I'm just trying sumpin here. ----- Original Message ----- > This is the second time this has happened and I can't get out of it. > I am on a separate section and all of a sudden a line comes on that > separates the report and I cannot get rid of it. Guest guest
Well, I found out what is happening but don't know how to fix it. It is all of a sudden going to automatic but don't know why? I found out by hitting edit and I saw " undo automatic?? " It is in word. Guest guest
It was Microsoft office/word 2000. What I did was keep going to Edit to undo automatic format but why it kept going back to it is beyond me. I also had used keyboard to subscript and tho I would cancel it after every strike it kept coming back. Would not exit. Everytime I went to the beginning of a new line it would be subscripted and I would have to go to format and font and rehit subscript. It is like a spoiled kid. You give him some icecream and he won't leave you? Guest guest
Word has a nasty habit of formatting the character you select PLUS the space after it. There may be a workaround that I don't know about, but what I do is to highlight the space AFTER the character I format, and set it back to my normal style. Does that make sense? However, I don't know why this would place a line in your document. :-/ If you can't figure it out, go to the MS Word board on MT Daily. There's a gal named Cheryl who monitors that board, and she is GOOD. Be sure to mention in your post which version of Word you have. Guest guest
It does and it doesn't. I subscripted the 12 in B12 and then immediately went back to normal. Had no problem again until I would begin each line after it. As far as the lines go it just kept slipping back into auto format but I don't know how or where to get out of it. Finally I saw that it was in my edit list as undo automatic format and when I clicked on it the lines would disappear. How I got into it is a mystery to me. I will dig out my offfice 2000 for dummies and see what I can find. Thanks anyway.
