Hi Krista,

How are you? My ND did not mention anything about solvents. This is

very interesting to me though, let me know what she finds out. I hope

you liked her and feel that she can help you. I just got my hair

sample test back and it said I have very high aluminum and he did say

my adrenals are shot.

Hope you feeling better, I've been thinking about you!

Hugs,

Cherie

Krista,

I've never heard of testing for solvents. . . I suspect this is a chemical test . . . Like they did with the newborn placentas in the article I posted last night. . .

It's good they're looking at them. Heavy metals could still be an issue though.

Hi Cherie- Yeah the solvent thing is interesting to me too. At first

she thought heavy metals, but after talking to an environmental

specialist and seeing the crap that is in breast implants, she is

convinced that solvents might be my problem. So, I guess we are going

to start there with testing and treatment. I see her again tomorrow

to go over everything. We will probably end up doing the heavy metal

testing too. She has already spent countless hours working on me and

my case...I guess I'm an interesting case!

I'm actually feeling a lot better then I was a few weeks ago. The

first 3 weeks after explant were awful! But, the weird achiness is

gone, the digestive issues are gone, the headaches are improving. I

hardly ever have brain fog and dizziness. I'm still dealing with the

fatigue and of course the feeling of " something still isn't quite

right. " But, I know I'm getting there! I really hope this ND is the

answer to my prayers!

How are you doing? Still dealing with the cold? How is everything

else?

Love, Krista

Hi Krista,

I'm not sure what a solvent test is, but I do know that the organic

acid urine test that I did through Great Plains Lab said I was

excreting high levels of benzene and toluene, both which are found in

implants. I had this done while my implants were still in. Dede told

me nail polish is very high in toluene as well so I stopped getting

manicures and only do an occasional pedicure w/ non-toxic polish.

It'll be interesting to see what turns up in yours. Your ND sounds

very thorough. I'm happy you found a good one! Love, PH

Hi Krista,

I'm doing ok. I just had to go back to my ND bacause when I tried to

up of my probiotics and cleasning tea, my body wasn't having it. So

now I'm on a oregono anti-fungal supplement and also a parasite

cleanse. I just started it yesterday, I'll see how I do with them.

The vitamin B 6 has really helped with my nerve pain my thigh, still

have to keep taking though. My cold is better, the ND gave me a

natural antibiotic since I have been coughing up yucky stuff. I still

have disgestive issues, I'm hoping that it will get better now that

I'm on a anti-fungal. My fatigue has gotten better. Actually when I

got my cold again, my ND suggested I take ginseng. When I went to

the health food the girl there recommended these certain pills. I do

not have them with me at work but when I get home I'll email you the

name of it. It works great and has given me A LOT more energy.

I had to buy a new bra....I'm a B again. I'm ok with that. I do not

miss those " torpedo boobs " I use to have! Dr. Huang told me to wear

a push-up unwire but I have pain under my right breast with it so I

bought a wireless push-op from Secret and it feels so much

better. I'm hanging in there. I was really hoping to feel a lot

better just having the implants removed however....so not the case.

I'm sorry you felt so awful after the removal. I felt worse after the

removal too. I'm really glad though that you and I and Steph are

seeing ND's now, we need help and direction for each of our

particular issues and get the testing we need. Hang in there

girlfriend.....we ARE getting better.

Must share with you, I just got back from our office Christmas lunch

at P.F.Changs (by the galleria). I had to order a oreintal chicken

salad with no chicken (can only have organic meat), no crispy won

ton's on them and no dressing. I put lemon on it for dressing. I was

soooo hungry when I got back to the office, I'm now eating. It wasn't

very fun to watch everyone eat what I love and eat their deserts. I

survived though but I really do not like going out to eat on this

diet. I'm not a huge vege lover so this has been a challenge for me.

I like just making my own food and spice it up they way I like it. I

just have to remember that this is not forever.

Hugs,

Cherie

Cherie,

Where do you live? When you said P.F. Chang's by the Galleria it

sounds like St. Louis...although I'm sure chains have a pattern of

setting up next to each other in various cities. It'd be cool if we

were in the same town! Love, PH

Hi PH,

I live in California. The P.F.Changs I went to is in Roseville. Yes,

it would be cool if we lived in the same town. :)

Cherie works in the same town that hubby and I moved from. Isn't that

funny? That's why she just refers to things like I know what she's

talking about....because I do!! Hehehe...

Hi Krista, I haven't heard about that before but definitely let me know

what you find out. I had my follow up today and my candida blood test

showed that my candida level was at 1.64 and a normal range is .99 and

below so I was way over on that! I'm going to start the cleansing stage

which is the first part of the program. He's also going to have me do

testing for my hormones and thyroid next. Also, I'm doing the stool

testing for yeast, bacteria, and parasites. Then my next follow up is

next month. I feel now that I'm on the right path! How are you feeling?

I have not heard of anyone else being tested for solvents, though it

sounds like a good idea for the curious. The question I have is, if

they do find something, how does that change your treatment plan?

For instance, with metals, there are really only a few ways to make

sure they are removed...chelation therapy is the most targeted and the

most effective, and the testing is warranted because there are

different chelating agents for different metals. You have to know

which ones you are dealing with in order to pick the right chelating

agent.

So, my question with the solvents testing is, do they have different

treatment plans for the different solvents? Or do they just detox them

all? I would think that detoxing in general is going to address the

solvents, but I'm curious as to what the doctor is going to offer for

treatment.

If anything, it may be interesting to find out what your toxic burden

is and get an idea of what materials are leaching out of the implants

most. But I would only do that if I knew it would make a difference

in the treatment options because we generally know that all chemicals

are bad!

I'm glad to see you working with a doctor who wants to find the

answers, and it looks like she is using her intelligence to narrow it

down anyway. But ask her what detoxing plans would change based on the

info the testing would provide.

Let me know how it goes!
