Guest guest Posted April 3, 2005 Report Share Posted April 3, 2005 I have told my story before, so briefly, I am 39 years old, and live in Redondo Beach in Southern California, with my DH Rory and my 10 year old DD Misha (this is dog, not daughter!). I also found out yesterday that my hard drive is fried, so I am on a loaner notebook trying to remember links and addresses. My thyroid symptoms started around the time that I had my stroke at age 36. All of my ailments were blown off until last September when my TSH test finally topped out at over 10 and this was respectable enough to put me on medications. This is currently synthroid (actually generic) 125 mcg. I have periods where I feel pretty good, and then periods when I then feel pretty lousy. Mostly tired, wiped out, brain foggy. My last tests showed a TSH of 1.0 but I know I also have lousy T3 results and I do what I can to make that up. Still trying to lose weight and get my fitness levels back to what they were pre-stroke. On the personal note, (sorry this sounds like a personal ad!) I love to read, travel, rescue dogs, and watch American Idol (it is my true guilty pleasure). Oh, and Topper? You must, Must, MUST read The Dark Tower books. I just finished them and truly adored them. A little slow in some parts but it has awesome characters that you really care about, a great plot, and an ending that will blow you away. Of course this IMO, but I think any King fan will truly enjoy them. This group has taught me so much. Thanks for being there for me!
