Guest guest
We are getting her the floor scrubber then... My Sister is in charge of the present... I just have to split the cost... I do know they said it was a robot that scrubs the tile.... No carpet... They want to but that later, but my Mom has so much on her carpet as in furniture and things... Will it still work? ~See AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter.

Guest guest
This is my Christmas letter. I thought I would share it with all of you, especially since Lynn got such a kick out of the bird part. Lynda 1) The wind is howling through the trees The snow is blowing cold Not a creature in stirring outside At least that's what I'm told. 2) Santa would have to be crazy To come out in this storm He'd likely stay by the fireplace Keep himself cozy and warm. 3) But by midnight it will blow over And his coast will be clear He can load up the presents And bring the Christmas cheer. 4) So with Santa on his way And the gifts under the tree It's time to once again wish Happy Holidays to you from me. Dearest Family and Friends, It is once again time to catch up on annual happenings. I hope that your 2007 has been healthy and productive for all. I started out the year with a bang, literally. Fell on the ice (night, 10 below zero) on January 13th and had a concussion and a sprained wrist. Then I flew to Hawaii to visit my sister Collie on the 15th and they pat a black brace on my wrist. I went snorkeling with it on, was not going to pass up on checking out the pretty fish. Sharon (my sister) was there also. I left Collie's car in worse shape than I found it, so it was really not a good first month of the year. We had a bumper crop of plums this year, broke all kinds of branches off the tree. I have cut it way back, but I gave plums away to everyone in the neighborhood who could use them. We have plenty of plum jam now. The garden had a bumper crop of broccoli and other goodies. We ate well. In February we traded our car. We decided not to put $2000 in the old one, so we have a 2007 Toyota Camry. We have another new toy, Roomba, the I-Robot sweeper. It helps keep our house clean. Every time I use it I think about how big a kick my mother would have gotten from one of these. We call it the bug. The bird thinks it is alive and she freaks out when she sees me with it. I can't have her in the room, have to move her around the corner when I use it. Silly bird. I visited my twin granddaughters (Eshana and Chantrea) and Molly and their dad (Lonny) in Crestone twice this year, would like it if they lived closer. I don't get to see any of the grandkids or my kids as often as I might like. Molly stayed with me for two weeks in the summer. Amber, a and live just 30 minutes away, but I am lucky to see them once in a month. Richelle keeps busy, so they don't get over here. I haven't heard from , who is in Pennsylvania. was here for Thanksgiving; he will be in Guatemala by the time you receive this. He stayed here longer this fall to do some computer work and play with some bands. Dan has moved to Nederland (in the mountains) so I don't see him anymore. Bob says he is " Mean as ever " , which means he is doing well. We haven't seen any of his adult children this year. Christie is graduating with a second Master's Degree next May on her way to a Doctorate. Terry and are both working for the same company in Colorado Springs and we have not heard one work from Emery. We hope to get together next May for a trip to the canyons of the SW, Zion, Bryce, etc. We may know more about their lives after we get together for this trip. My summer had a surprise ending when I broke my foot on September 13th. It seemed to be healing well until November 13th when I started to have acute pain and loss of mobility. I was diagnosed with Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy in my foot and ankle. I am doing some cutting edge treatment with hyperbarics to try to reverse it. Expensive, hope it works. Insurance does not cover it. They opened a hyperbaric treatment office in Boulder just a few months ago. May your 2008 be happy, healthy and prosperous. We am counting on ours being the same. Love, Lynda and Bob

Guest guest
PH, There is a new model Roomba 530 that probably would be even better. I think it is supposed to go between linoleum and carpet with more ease. It is great to clean up with if you don't have long haired pets. It goes under the bed and the couch and around furniture. You can use it for several months before you have to break out the vacuum, sometimes it is 4-5 months before we dig out the big vacuum. We just let the Roomba do the cleaning. I move small furniture and plants and, of course, the silly bird. You can use it when you have long-haired pets, but will have to clean the roller every time, a bit of a nusiance. It has virtual walls to block where you don't want it to go. It is really cute and entertaining. I just think my mother would have gotten the biggest kick out of it. I have 4 kids and 8 grandkids, one I have no clue where he is. The other 7 were mentioned in my Christmas letter. I have 5 brother and sisters. Guest guest
Order a second set of filters and if you need them, two more virtual walls. You will understand when you get one how much you need those. I only have two virtual walls, but I use boxes and chairs, etc. to block off rooms. I could use a second set of virtual walls. Guest guest
Thanks for the tips Lynda! My husband has been asking what I want for Christmas and I couldn't come up with anything except probiotics and supplements. Material items just don't mean anything to me anymore...but I think this Roomba might put a smile on my face! Love, PH > > > > > > > > > > This is my Christmas letter. Guest guest
, There are floor washing robots also. I think Patty has one. This is a sweeper, and great on wood, tile, and carpet, the 530 is really the best one I know about right now. Lynda At 09:44 PM 12/14/2007, you wrote: >Lynda, > >That is so funny about the bird.... Guest guest
, The rabbit might be scared of the robot, I would watch and see what it does from across the room. My bird really does think it is alive. Lynda At 09:44 PM 12/14/2007, you wrote: >Lynda, > >That is so funny about the bird.... We are getting my Mom one of >those robots... Guest guest
Yes, I move small pieces of furniture, but it goes under the charis and couches and coffee table. But, if she has a problem with non-carpeted rooms, ask Patty about what she uses on her non-carpeted floors. I remember her saying she had one. Guest guest
I have a Robo vac. . . It's wonderful! . . . It does a great job on hardwood and tile and an OK job on carpet. . . It picks up surface stuff on the carpet . ..doesn't vacuum deeply.Patty said the scubber gave her some problems . . . but last night someone told me they loved theirs. Guest guest
Rogene, The new 530 is supposed to do an even better job. I think it will have to wait for me, however. I like the one I have. Only my bird does not like it, the rest of us think it is pretty cool. Lynda At 10:56 PM 12/14/2007, you wrote: >I have a Robo vac. . . It's wonderful! . . . Guest guest
Hi Ladies, I have the one that does tile floors--I think it's called a Scooba? It works great. I got rid of most of my carpet and put travertine tile down instead and I'm much happier with that, and the Scooba makes keeping them clean much easier. Guest guest
Thanks for sharing your Christmas letter. I hope 2008 brings you healing for you foot and ankle.Hugs,TraciLynda Roth <coss@...> wrote: This is my Christmas letter. Bob says he is "Mean as ever", which means he is doing well.
