That was hard to watch. It looked like an ear infection or a migraine to me.

Is she hypersensitive to noise?

Have you read at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism-Mercury/? Have you

done a hair test to see what metals may be troublesome for your little one? She

seems VERY uncomfortable. Cutler, who in my opinion has put forth the safest

removal protocol for lead/mercury, does not advocate EDTA!! Very high lead

levels, both blood and hair, were reduced for my grandson using DMSA as Cutler

recommends. He also met those counting rules for mercury and the DMSA normalized

that as well. I can tell you as an adult who took a couple of oral doses of

EDTA, that I would never touch the stuff again. I felt disgusting and it took

several weeks for the symptoms to subside. I took it because it was recommended

for my PDD daughter and I generally try things I consider 'marginal' before I

give them to her. Obviously, she did NOT get a dose of this one. Just because a

doc has this protocol does not mean it is of benefit for your child. Following

professionally recommended protocols[vaccines for one] is what has put our

children in such a mess.

I would look at obvious things first like her throat, ears, mouth ulcerations, teeth. Sometimes I think we try to over complicate things. Then I would look into GI like esophageal reflux, ulcers. etc. If you have started any new supps. since this started, I would remove them one at a time. I pray this passes soon for her and your family. Blessings,

A couple more things you might consider:

-- congestion / sinus pressure

-- inflammation in the brain (have you done an Anne Connolly test?)

Ed and Luz,

Oh, my heart hurts, such a precious, pretty darling, I am sure your heart breaks

as well. I fell the pain thru the screen.

I am not sure if this will help, but I have had TMJ in my jaw since I was in my

teens. Because I am an adult and verbal I can say OUCH!!! and $#@T! when it

hurts and it hurts BAD! I am wondering, it seems like it happens as she chews,

then she screams. She is holding the part of her head when I am having a flair

that I do, just by the ears. Sometimes I hold my head with my palms as I listen

to my jaw crack and snap in my ears (so loud I can't eat and watch TV because I

can't hear anything but my chewing). It doesn't happen with every food, mostly

with flour tortillas, or chewy muffins. I think I have had trouble with pancakes

as well. Something about the position of the jaw joints with the soft food? I am

not sure but I avoid them like the plague.

My mom had her joints replaced with a plate. I just get lidocaine shots into the

joint. It hurts so I don't recommend it but for me with jaw-gritting stress of a

newly diagnosed ASD child ( will be 3 this month) the pain is getting

worse.

I control it with a non-chewy diet and a lot of veggie and protein drinks. Some

days are better than others but if I lay off of the chips, chewy, gum,

fingernail nibbling and other nervous chewing. My son grinds his teeth so I am

afraid he will get the same thing.

Just a thought, hope it helps.

Hugs to that gorgeous baby, I pray she won't hurt anymore. In fact if you could

send the pain to me, I would rather have it than her! Don't you just wish?

Hugs,

, mommy to

Ok, how long have you been treating her? Did you start the supplements one by

one? mb12 shots make things worse for my son, but are a miracle supplement for

others. Treating for yeast? Probiotics? Minerals?

It wasn't enough for us to go GFCF. We had to take out corn and soy (read about GMO foods). Then we did SCD for some months. Finally we are organic and I can only give my son rice or certain organic sprouted grains. It was tough for me to watch the video. My good friend's son used to scream like your daughter. On top of the organic diet, homeopathy helped him, as well as my kids.

I wish you well,

Carol

Hi,

I agree about trying the AC protocol in chelation, it's absolutely safe and we

are seeing steady gains with every round.

Also look into phenol/salicylate sensitvity - our son used to have the same high

pitched scream (like he was in pain, just like your daughter in the video) and

going on a salicylate-free diet helped.

Another thing that really helps is the Body Ecology Diet (the cultured veg and

kefir are good for getting the friendly flora in) and a totally sugar-free (also

fruits) diet, in addition to antifungals (first prescription and then natural).

I wish you luck in finding out what works for her..it's gut-wrenching to see the

child in so much discomfort..

She had her first one about a year ago, oddly enough, it started around her MB12 shots, but it was episodic, maybe every four to six weeks. We then discontinued the shots and now do the nasal spray-- no real improvements, I have to say. I suspected seizures (did you notice her eyes?), but the qEEG we did didn't show any (didn't rule them out either because she did not fall asleep). Given her immune system and metals, plus the fact that brain inflammation is a given in our kids, that's what I've been trying to treat. Our doc says the Enhansa helps with it and I'll check what others have said about treating it. I think back when she was about 3 and had tough tantrums; very similar! Not frequent, but oh, painful!Luz, How long has she been doing this? Re: this video is tough to watch- but I'd love your thoughts Ok, how long have you been treating her? since 2002-- diets, ABA, supplements-- retried the diet in2007- to date, then did NAET- slow slow, but she seemed a bit calmer. I agree it looked like difficulty swallowing, or head pain and there didn't seem to be noise that she was sensativtive to. There wasn't food involoved in both of these shots so assuming your daughter didn't eat before the bathroom video portion. Did you ever check for Lyme??

I know a child who get head pain but more severe and it ended up he had undiagnosed Lyme. Just something maybe to check. God Bless your daughter and family through this.

Poor thing, have you had her evaluated with a dentist? I remember reading of a mom who was having trouble getting her child off of a nipple off a bottle. The child would hold it in their mouth all day. Well, she came to learn that because of the child's poor nutrition because it was a horrible eater(like many of our kids), it's teeth were rotting out. Keeping the nipple in the child's mouth kept the air off the teeth when it breathed and the air would cause considerable pain. So it could be pain during eating or even at other times too. Does your daughter have a stuffed nose and then has to breath through her mouth? Have you looked into homeopathy? We are using Homeopathy Center of Houston and they have ways to get rid of the metals without it being so harsh on the system. Good luck to you, that video breaks my heart.

Hi Luz, my son used to have these head pains too. I would remove all

supplements except Vit C, magnesium, cod liver oil and figure out first if any

of the other supplements are causing it.

There were certain things in my son's diet and supplements that caused these

problems. We also started chelating around the same time, but I noticed if he

had dietary infractions, the screaming came back with some things. We rarely

have the episodes now. My son has lead too. We are doing DMSA on the Cutler

protocol and seeing slow but steady gains. I think it would be best to stop the

IV chelation and start low oral doses of DMSA using the Cutler protocol - much

safer.

Is she still eating any of these? Yeast, soy, egg, MSG (natural flavors),

artificial colors, sugar...I am assuming she is GFCF? you might try to

experiment and see if any of these other foods are contributing by doing an

elimination diet.

Our son has the same thing. We have been to regular doc, immunologist, DAN, allergist, ENT, and neurologist. It started off sporadic, one every month or two and then eventually we were up to 4 or so of these episodes a week. He would push right in the middle of his forhead with our hand or his as he screamed like someone was trying to kill him. It is heartbreaking. He would almost always end up vomiting and would be clammy and lethargic for a few hours afterwards. It's horrible and completely takes him out of commission for a while. This frequency went on for almost a year. We did find out he has partial complex seizures and he is now on Topomax to control seizure activity, but nothing had really helped with the episodes. Then all of a sudden I realized a few weeks into last summer that he had only had one since school had gotten out. We went the whole summer with only 2 episodes. Since school started back up in the fall, he gets about one a month. No one has any answers. At first the neuro. said they were related to his seizures and then he keeps changing his mind. I can relate, as we have watched my son go through one of these while trying to eat too.

Ok, how long have you been treating her? Did you start the supplements one by one? mb12 shots make things worse for my son, but are a miracle supplement for others. Treating for yeast? Probiotics? Our son has the same thing. We have been to regular doc, immunologist, DAN, allergist, ENT, and neurologist. It started off sporadic, one every month or two and then eventually we were up to 4 or so of these episodes a week. He would push right in the middle of his forhead with our hand or his as he screamed like someone was trying to kill him. It is heartbreaking. He would almost always end up vomiting and would be clammy and lethargic for a few hours afterwards. It's horrible and completely takes him out of commission for a while. This frequency went on for almost a year. We did find out he has partial complex seizures and he is now on Topomax to control seizure activity, but nothing had really helped with the episodes. but it shows our girl during one of her episodes when she really looks like she's having piercing pain inside her head. She's trying to eat her GCF pancakes here-- sorry about the side view!

We are: chelating (EDTA IV/3 weeks); supplementing- vitamins, OSR, Enhansa, Naltrexone, Singulair (inflammation) , and MB12 spray (shots had no effect; soft chamber hyperb did little to nothing).

She's got lead (negligible by FAD standards!!, aluminum, and others).

Also doing NAET-- little green in her diet still.

Thanks!!

You know I had severe migraine-like headaches after I had my last meningitis that led to my last major regression, now almost three years ago.I was told it was due to post-inflammatory enlargement of the glial cells, squeezing against the arteries, and blood vessels in the brain.

Went away in a couple of months, with very high dose fish oil.

That was hard to watch. It looked like an ear infection or a migraine to me. Is she hypersensitive to noise?>> but it shows our girl during one of her episodes when she really looks > like she's having piercing pain inside her head.
