Guest guest
Krista ~ Well, I wanted to break into all that candy and munch down like alittle pig......but I was practicing control. Well, and of course, I put it on the top shelf on this unit in my bedroom. It has 6 shelves, so it is sort of high, and I cant reach it. It is really cute tho...... colorful, nostalgia candy from the 50's and 60's...... Yes, there are candy cigarettes in there...candy necklace, bubble gum cigars, all kinds of that stuff.......hee hee.... They are rock hard now....... Not touching it was my precursor of stopping smoking......I gave up coffee, then candy, then cigs......and believe it or not, the cigs were a breeze.........I smoked 30 some odd years ! ! sure did ! ! I am fortunate I dont have lung cancer or emphysema. I do have a severe lung obstruction, with no emphysema ! ! My obstruction is with air exchange oxygen and co2. I am not sure about all the details.......I am sure it is silicone in there sticking things together........I was very blessed that the smoking didnt do me in. When I had my lungs drained I had them ck for cancer, and it was clear ! ! My heart went out, my organs shut down and my lungs and all filled with fluid sept of 2005. Lovely lupus ! ! ........idiots sent me home to die. Told me I needed a heart transplant, and since I didnt have insurance, or disability coverage, they couldnt even put me on the waiting list for a new heart, and to let them know if I got coverage. Boy did I show them up ! ! I plan to really show them up once these implants are out and I am detoxed. I will walk into every one of their offices and thank them for pissing me off. Pissing me off is making me prove them wrong.........LOLOLOL......... The little display case is really cute....I have it with a few of my granddaughters things, a barbie, a couple troll dolls, and her laughing elmo. So, the kid in me is up on a shelf with my granddaughters things....... Love ya ~ DedeSee AOL's top rated recipes and easy ways to stay in shape for winter. Guest guest
If sugar triggers it, then no wonder I'm in ear hell all of the time! Why is the best thing in the world the thing that causes so much agony to us? I need to dump the sugar to get rid of the candida overgrowth, which sounds like may also be a contributor (if not cause) to ear pain!!?? Can I just tell you how much I love sugar? No, actually, I can't adequately describe it. I can tell you that growing up, it's the one thing I feared the most was my mom finding my candy wrappers. I went to major lengths to try to hide the wrappers because I got grounded whenever she found them. (we have rampant diabetes in our family so I was held back from sugar) She was smart enough to find the wrappers in my garbage can in my room, so then I started "getting rid of them" in the metal drainage thing (sewer grate?) in the street in front of our house. Well, not being all that smart yet, I hadn't put two and two together: that sewer grate led directly to a drainage tunnel (?) that led to the drainage ditch in our backyard! So the wrappers that I so cleverly got rid of in the secret hiding place in the street ending up floating through our backyard. I got in trouble- they thought I'd just thrown my wrappers straight into that ditch. (like I'd be that obvious about it) My mom had to pick me up from school one day in seventh grade because I was coated in hives. I'd been eating Nerds candy all day, and it was the first time I'd had them. I had about 4 boxes of them, I think. The school told my mom what they thought the hives were from. Grounded again. Other kids were sneaking alcohol and drugs behind their parents' backs. I was furtively sneaking candy. So now it could be causing the ear pain. Great. I might as well lock myself in a padded cell because I think it's the only way I'm going to be able to cure my pain (ear and full body) if what I have to do is give up sugar. Sorry to moan. I'm sure everyone loves sugar. What else is there? Guest guest
Yes- it does hurt in below the ear and down the neck! I'll check out this Euthanasia tube.(j/k- but I will check out the Eustachian tube) The office did seem weird. It was almost empty, with just a chair in the middle of it (for me to sit in). The doctor and his assistant kept leaving the room together and coming back. I wondered if they were looking up my symptoms on the Internet to figure out what to do. Re: Re: Doctors & Medicine in General Ballerina, Does it hurt, more or less, in a line from below your ear and jawbone down your neck? I'm thinking of the Eustachian tube. Also . . . I'd see another doctor . . . this guy is a loser! . . . ly, I haven't found a good ear doctor yet either . . . and I've seen many! I keep thinking I should try again. I started Mycoplex and Puricell today in the hope that I might get some long term relief. Hugs, Rogene Never miss a thing. Make your homepage. Guest guest
Dede, You're absolutely right. That is exactly what it is. It's the yeast and parasites that thrives on sugar. Guest guest
My mom always said I have a tapeworm. Do tapeworms like sugar? If so, maybe I should keep feeding him. He's keeping me thin. I actually was afraid the ear doctor would see the head of the tapeworm in my ear- like it had finally grown long enough to try to escape out my ear or something. I am such a phobe. Guest guest
Ballerina, They should have put you in a soundproof booth for a hearing test . . . with headphones, etc. There's a good chance you do. My hearing varies, depending on the state of my ear. . . My quick check is to scratch my outer ear, and compare the volume between my right and left ear. . There are times when my bad ear hears nothing! . . . When I'm on track with treatment, the volume is considerably higher. If my ears are operating properly, they will pop some when changing elevations. A blocked Eustachian tube can cause fluids to back up, causing pressure and pain. You'll notice this particularly if you're changing elevations . . . as in flying, going up and down hills, elevators. The pain doesn't necessarily show up immediately . . . Apparently it takes some time for pressure to develop. Recently I heard that pressure can force fungal organisms out of hiding, recreating a problem that has been dormat. All I can say is that it's been a continuing problem for me too! Sugar and changing elevations aggravates it, antifungals, probiotics and castor oil help. Guest guest
I only read as far as the changing elevations part and had to reply...I'm so mad! I told the doctor the problem has been much worse since I started working on the 30th floor (as compared to ground level). I said I get dizzy at the elevators. Guest guest
Ballerina . . . It's likely you've had a rip roaring yeast/fungus/Candida problem since you were a kid! . . . No wonder you have so many "autoimmune" problems. I'd suggest getting a foot bath to pull heavy metals out . . . www.ionicoasis.com . . If you decide to get one, we can give you an ebay addy that will cut the price in half. Heavy metals encourage fungal issues. Then, take Caprylic Acid - 3600 mgs. daily for 16 days. . . That should clear the bad stuff. .. In the meantime, get on a good probiotic like Garden of Life Primal Defense . . . Some of the Kefir your hubby likes will help too! . . . Home made is by far the best. Then, start cutting back on your sugar fast . . . you don't need to go cold turkey! . . . But, at the fungal organisms die off, your appetite for sugar will go with it. . . Forget about artifical sweeteners though! . . . Stevia is OK . . . You'll be able to eat fruits after your initial phase . . . and use raw honey, real maple syrup, or molassas for sweeteners after your back in balance. . . Even raw sugar is better than refined sugar or corn syrup! . . . That stuff is poison! . . . The Maker's Diet and The Yeast Connection would be good reads for you . . . The Three Lac Candida test would track your progress very well. I'm horrified at how much sugar is used in foods promoted to kids! . . . With all the concerns about kids learning problems and behavior problems, you would think they would be looking at diet rather than blaming the kids!
