Thanks ....

It is always interesting to see what research shows...I take it this

is from 1993? I wonder why there hasn't been more study....in 15 years

you would have thought more info would have lead to stronger

conlusions one way or the other...but based on everything I have read

the doctors seem pretty " split " about the benefits of hardware

removal...just as the paper shows. I guess it really depends on each

situation.

I have no doubt that many of your symptoms are from your

implants. Your history mirrors so many women's problems.

You may also have some problems from the head injury. Have you ever

been evaluated for a closed head injury?

I recommend you have those implants removed right away, as most women

can detox and reclaim their health. Where are you? We have some

excellent docs on our website who know how to remove implants

properly. Most of our docs know how to make you look good after

explant. Some of the recent explantees can chime in here. They can

tell you which docs made them look the best. Most will remove the

saggy skin, Huang uses some fat transfers to help fill out your

breasts. Also, your breasts will fluff some in the first year after

explant so you will actually fill out some. And the women know the

great bras to get to help them look good. I just saw a great

discussion on that this last week on this site.

Oh, I forgot, the cost differs from place to place, but please don't

just let a doctor pop them out. They must have the scar tissue

completely removed if you want to be well again.

The cost will range from around $6000 to $12,000. Huang of

Denver is usually the lowest, and Dr. Kolb of Atlanta is usually the

highest, Dr. LuFeng of Cleveland is in between. There are other

docs on our site you can check with. But please, please be sure they

are doing the right type of removal, because so many say they will

and then later the women find out that they did not remove all the

scar tissue. I had to go back and have the scar tissue removed

later, another surgery. It was not fun.

Thanks for replying Lynda. I live in North Carolina. I had my surgery

in Winston Salem. I have been looking online for other plastic

surgeons in my area. I don't think I want the same dr messing around.

Of course I don't know if he is experienced in taking them out. But I

would definately want to know personal procedure, and before and

after pics. So where are you?

Oh god it sounds like I'm in for a nightmare. I paid for my surgery

with a credit card because then they didn't do finacing. So actually

I'm still paying for it. Makes me sick. I'm starting to get so mad at

myself. Thanks for the info but I think all those Dr's are too far

away. = (

Hi - I will write more later, just wanted to post something real

quick. I definitely think your symptoms are being caused by your

implants. I just had mine removed 5 weeks ago due to the same symptoms

you are explaining. Make sure you take a look at the files and links

on the left hand side of the forum. There are photos there, as well as

a link to our shutterfly photos (password is implants.)There is also a

list of plastic surgeons that is recommended by the group that will do

your explant correctly.

I am in Colorado.

Check our website for plastic surgeons in your area. I personally do

not refer women to many doctors, because after 17 years dealing with

survivors, I know how many doctors have really messed women up with

their surgeries. I only refer to the ones I am absolutely sure will

do it right. The three I mentioned are the best.

Welcome ,While there's no absolute guarantee that it's your implants causing your problems, you'll never know unless you have them removed and give yourself time to detox. As to how you'll look . . . If you get a mastopexy, you should look good! . . . Most women would do better to get a mastopexy than breast implants in the first place. . . Strange how plastic surgeons forget to tell women that . . . Of course, they wouldn't be coming back for revision/replacement for the rest of their life though. We have a huge amount of information in the archives and old messages. You'll find that your symptoms are very common among our women. Do a search for "Three Lac Candida Test" . . .

you can test yourself for free . . . Chances are that you have a huge problem . . . most implanted women do. . . I'm super busy tonight and don't have time to go into everything . . . but I'm sure some of our ladies can start filling you in on what you can do to start getting better . .. Hang in there! . . . Help is on the way! Life will be good again!Hugs,Rogene

,The cost of explant hits virtually everyone like a ton of bricks. It's criminal they don't give women an estimate of what it will cost to maintain implants before they ever put the implants in!However, you can't put a price on your health. . . If you go bargain basement for explant, you'll likely stay sick and need further surgeries. Virtually all the women who have stayed sick, learned that the surgeon left the capsules behind . . . Some told the women they would remove the capsules, then didn't. You may be able to find a doctor close to you . . . but be very careful . . . I'd suggest first asking them about the procedure they use . . . Then, if they tell you

they leave the capsules behind, tell them that, because you don't want to worry about anything being left behind, you want the en bloc procedure done. .. or if that's not possible, a complete capsulectomy. . . And that you want drains used until there's no significant drainage. Keep in mind the doctor is working for YOU! . . . YOU have every right to request the best procedure be done! . . . If a doctor tells you that you'll be deformed, or depressed without your implants, consider that's his personal testimony about his own skills. . . Run! . . . Find a doctor who respects your desire to have the surgery done the way you want it done. . . The doctor doesn't have to agree that implants make you sick . . . Don't even try to argue that! . . . All he needs to do is to remove them properly.Hugs,Rogene

Hi ,

I'm sorry you are going through all of this. That motorcycle accident

sounded not pretty. Once you go through a trauma like that, having

implants in your body will only exacerbate any potential immune

system issues you may develop. Trauma can wreak all kinds of havoc

in our bodies.

I think getting your implants out will be a very good move for you.

YOu will be giving your body the best chance at healing naturally

that you can give it.

I had saggy breasts from breastfeeding and that was why I got

implants. I ended up sick in a short time and got them out right

away. But I didn't want to go back to the saggy bustline I had pre-

implant, so I had a lift at explant. Everything turned out very well.

You don't have to fear it. And of course, a good plastic surgeon is

going to make you look great...many women say that they even look

better than before implant. I know I do! I'm glad my saggy boobs are

gone.

Please make sure you get a proper explant. That means you get all of

the scar tissue out at the time of implant removal. Don't let the

doctor tell you that you don't need it out...you do. There are risks

associated with long term residual scar capsules that are retained in

the body. You want what is called a " Total capsulectomy " . Please

discuss this with your explanting doctor and insist that it be done

completely. (You do not want to even compromise with a partial

capsulectomy. It must be total.)

Please continue to ask questions. We will be here to help.

Thanks Rogene. I had actually considered a lift before I got my implants but I was terrified of the scarring. I knew that there was more involved and I just didn't want to look like I had been beaten with a meat cleaver. But now I'm wishing I would have settled for that instead. I'm still searching and reading everyones comments, I had actually started back with the earliest one so I could get myself in the loop. LOL I'm glad I now have people to talk too about all this. Somedays I feel like I'm truely losing myself. I wake up in pain and go to bed with pain. And I was starting to think "well maybe I am getting fibromyalgia." Now I know maybe it's something else. I'm appreciating everyones support and quick replies. saxony01 <saxony01@...> wrote: Welcome ,While there's no absolute guarantee that it's your implants causing your problems, you'll never know unless you have them removed and give yourself time to detox. As to how you'll look . . . Fibromyalgia is common among women with implants . . . and among those who have had a tramautic injury . . . It goes hand-in-glove with a sleep disorder. If you can get sufficient deep sleep, you may find some relief. . . That's when the body does it's repair work . . . No sleep, no repair!

I have FM . . . but, as long as I follow my "program", I wouldn't know it. That's what I mean about this being a life changing event . . . I expect that I will have to pamper my body the rest of my life to keep FM symptoms at bay.

Rogene,

Yes well that's the problem. I never seem to get enough. I feel tired

all day, and the longer I sleep the more stiff my body is and I can't

even describe my lower back pain in the mornings. And it lasts all

day long. So stiff it feels as though it will snap. I'm so sick of

feeling like this and I know now it has to be coming from the

implants. Well I'm sure candida, a bad bed and other things have to

do with it also, but I'm sure the implants are the main culprit.

And being a massage therapist I can already sympathize with FM

symptoms. I worked very close with FM patients.

So I suppose after these things are out I'll have to start

a " program " or two of my own.

It's never too early to start . . . Diet is a great place to start now. . .

I'd recommend "The Maker's Diet" . . . much more than a "diet" book.

- I just read The Maker's Diet. What an eye-opening experience

that was! Like Rogene said, much more then just a diet book, I think

it's more like a lifestyle book. You can purchase it on half.com for

like $4.00. Diet, detox and an anti-fungal are key for all of us

implant victims.

I know how you feel, I only had my "safe" salines for a little over a year.. Paid for them barely, had lots of money in the doctor finding game to see what was wrong with me, most said I was NUTS...

Then found this site and explant and still doctors... Thanks FDA for approving my "safe" implants... What A DEAL and a JOKE...

I know how you feel , but proper explant is so worth the money and your health depends on it... Hang in there and I will pray you find your way for proper explant..

God Bless,
