Guest guest
Hi Carey, I am sorry you are dealing with new symptoms. I have noticed some of the strangest issues have happened to me through all of this. It is frustrating and scary. Hang in there, get explanted and detox. I had a high ANA 1:320! I have been told I have unspecified connective tissue disorder. I was explanted in April 07. My ANA went down a tiny bit but it is not normal. I have heard that other women on this board have turned their ANA around with detox and diet. I haven't yet but I haven't been explanted all that long. I also just got tested for food allergies. Out of 50 foods tested I was allergic to all but like 15! So, my doctor has me on a diet to eliminate those foods. He feels we can get my ANA lower if I work on my diet as my body won't be fighting the food I put in it. I pray you can get explanted soon. Hugs and Prayers, Lynn > > can any of you answer me this- did you have a positive ana when being tested > for auto immune problems and now your symptoms have resolved post explant? a > girlfriend of mine was asking this and i just was really curious if majority > of us had positive ana. > also, i am trying to get into another plastic surgeon Dr. > Stalnecker, the earliest i could get in was march 10, he does a lot of breast cancer > recontructions and is busy with those up until then. something scary happened > on thurs morning, i woke up with my right side of cheek/face swollen, went to > work but then 2 hrs into work the swelling started to my throat, had to use > my epi pen and my husband took me to my family doctor, obviously was seen > immediately, swelling came down quickly after the epi was given. was started on > more prednisone and waiting to see the ps. > i want to thank all of you, it is nice to be able to sound off or bounce > things off of other women going thru the same thing!! > Carey > > > > **************Ideas to please picky eaters. Guest guest
Carey, My joint swelling is slowly getting better, I have relapses though. I also have the swollen tounge - sound strange talking (hate when it happens at work). The only thing I have taken for this thus far is an anti-inflammatory, Naprosyn. Ugh, I just hate this auto-immune stuff! I am going to diet, detox and get rid of mine... I am on a mission. Guest guest
Carey, I didn't have problems with my ANA, but my Thyroid levels were high while I had implants and then went back to normal about a year after explant. Also my joint swelling improved, my thumbs still swell up but not as bad. Sis > > Carey, > > It's quite common for the ANA to come down after proper explant.
