Order or buy them blanched. Patissiers and bakeries use huge

quantities of blanched hazelnuts.

Well, that is an idea... I had just soaked about 5 cups of hazelnuts,

so I am slowly working through them... My thumbnail is so black that

I don't know if it will ever be " blanch " again ;-)

In case there are any other " nut " out there that wants to do

things " the hard way " , I found this recipe on how to get the skin off

out of hazelnuts.
