I seem to be reacting to the new medication. grrrr.... I started on Cardizem LA

180mg daily 12 days ago. Yesterday I called the neph with an update to let them

know things seem to be going o.k. Up until today I hadn't noticed any side

effects and my b/p had come down a bit on the stuff. (not as far as they wanted

but far enough that they plan on keeping me on it) Then today I wake up and

notice that I'm starting to feel like I did back in October when my phosphours

and sodium levels dipped way low, numbness in my mouth and extremities, bad

taste in my mouth, bad odor to my skin, feeling very off emotionally. So today

I had to call the neph back and say... " well I spoke too soon, maybe we should

check out some bloodwork " *sigh* On the up side I had to be at the lab today

anyhow for my weekly U/A.

Hopefully they will get the blood results tomorrow and if my levels are

starting to fall they will catch it before it gets to the point it was in

October....I really don't want to visit that point I was at in October ever

again. :P It was bad, very bad....talk about a blonde with major psycosis due

to her electolytes being way out of whack, my husband doesn't want to visit that

place ever again either. :o) Keep things crossed please, I hate this balancing

act. Just when you think you have it down, wham everything gets thrown to the

wind again.
