Guest guest
Hi All My dear friends and family. I don't like lumping you all together, but I don't have the energy to do it on individual basis, to pooped to pop! I just want to thank all of you for your prayers and concern regarding my grandson and mom. Both are doing well and both are home. I am concerned about mother as she has bocked arteries 100% and will not tolerate a bypass. She will be on a regiment of meds (which she doesn't do very well), and we will just have to wait and see. So thanks once again. Cookie, I am ready are you??? I might not come home LOL! ee you Saturday, sounds like the weather will be great, but I really don't care. Guest guest
Rita, I wrote you about your Mother and grandson but just got a message from my friend who went to England the last of May and she got the e-mail sent to her. I just made a mistake which is one of a few thousand. I just wanted you to know I was thinking of you and prayed for your Mom and grandson. Guest guest
Thanks Jane Anne! Now we have another problem and that is JOHN! He went for his annual heart physical, and yes they found something. It's called " small abdominal aorta " , he goes for a cat scan on May 6th. Doctor doesn't seem too concerned. Always something huh! Rita Luv & Hugs! ************************************* Some people succeed in spite of their handicap. Others succeed because of them. Guest guest
Dolores, thats the kind of bypass my mother in law had there were three incisions one in the main aertery in the neck two others in each groin/leg area. The only thing that bothers her after one week are the staples.........Its worth looking into Rita...........Flora
Guest guest
Rita, how luck for that they found it. Hope all goes well for him when they do the cats scan. When it rains it pours dosen't it. Guest guest
Rita, I agree with Flora. Around here, we have " micro " bypass surgery done through a couple of small incisions. You do not have to have your rib cage cracked open. It's a lot faster, easier, and recuperation time is shorter. Unless there's more to her story than we know, I hope she gets a second opinion and doesn't let them just pull the plug on her. Guest guest
Flora & Dolores: I don't understand all this heart business, but these doctor's my mother has all agreed that at this time an operation was out of the question, These doctor's are tops in there field, they saved my brother's life about 5 years ago. Within an hour after the time she was first brought into the hospital her vital signs were all normal. My family was all there, and what he said made sense to us. She had no pain, just a racing heartbeat. So we have have faith in there decision. And would you believe went for his annual heart checkup, and they found a " small abdominal aorta aneurysm " he is scheduled for a cat scan on May 6th. The one good thing it's away from the heart. Remember that song " Oh how I hate to get up in the morning? " , getting that way for me. We can't wait to take off to Albany, it will seem like paradise. Guest guest
RITA, I HOPE ALL GOES WELL WITH JOHN. I HEAR THEY ARE QUITE SUCCESSFUL AT REPAIRING THEM. I DON'T KNOW WHERE OR WHEN I EITHER SAW ON TV OR READ IT IN A DRS. OFFICE OR HOSPITAL NOT TO LONG AGO. I WAS INTERESTED SINCE MY DAD HAD A VERY LARGE ONE ON THE AORTA JUST BEFORE IT SPLITS TO THE LEGS. HE WAS WELL PAST HIS 80'S WHEN THEY FOUND IT AND HIS HEART WAS TO BAD FOR SURGERY. IT LASTED LONGER THAN HIS HEART. GOOD LUCK LOVE BONNIE Re: Mom & > Flora & Dolores: > > I don't understand all this heart business, but these doctor's my mother > has all agreed that at this time an operation was out of the question, > These doctor's are tops in there field, they saved my brother's life > about 5 years ago. Guest guest
Rita, I've been kind of out of the loop lately as things have heated up here with our situ ation. I know what you're going through because my mother went through it too at 82. I will keep you and your family in my prayers. I'm so sorry I won't be there Sat. to meet with you gals and the guys. I'm sure you're going to have a great time. I'll tell you all about my situation when things settle down a bit. Vivian
