Barbara,

A blessing in disguise for sure! I'm glad and thankful with you that you

were able to 'detect' the problem before it became a real tragedy! Similar

thing happened while i was growing up...my Dad who at the time had a hard

time sleeping at night smelled something quite not right....checked out the

house only to find that my nightlight on the side of my bed had come in

contact with my blanket and was starting to burn! Thankfully Dad was alert

enough to detect the prob : )

Have a good day...

How scary I am glad everyone is ok and I hope the smell leaves real

soon. Sometimes the things that bother us the most end up being blessings.

OH BARBARA!!! That is so scary.... I am so glad that you are fine, but bet there is some smoke damage to clean up for you.... I guess it is safe to say that your son did not inherit your sleep disorder? :) Hugs OT- sleep problem was a blessingGood Morning, Several days ago, I wrote about my sleep disorder. Last night itwas a blessing. I woke up at 3:30 am and opened my bedroom door tofind the house filled with smoke. My 21 yr. old son had been cookingsomething and fell asleep. I don't know why the smoke alarm didn'twork. It's only a couple of months old. He had put a timer on thestove and it was going off, but he was sound asleep on the couch forprobably an hour or more. Whatever was in the pot had disintegratedand the pot was melting and fused onto the burner which was on high. Ihad to open all windows and doors and get a fan to blow the smoke out.It was freezing in here. It still stinks in here
