Hi. I was just reading my morning paper here in burg VA.

" Treatment Discredited " is the headline. It basically states that a

Mayo Clinic study has suggested radiation to the area around the

eyeballs for those of us with Graves is apparently useless. The

study included mild to moderate cases of the eye disease and found

that treatment made no discernable difference. The Mayo

endo, Colum Gorman, said that after 80 years of docs using this

treatment, it should NOT be used to treat the eyes. He believes

that often the disease remits naturally and the eyes improve

on their own which is probably why the docs using the radiation

therapy thought is was helping.

It took 80 years for this!
