Guest guest
That's funny, I didn't get the original email and I'm not down as bouncing! Ho hum! It's probably whizzing out in cyberspace somewhere! Re: Finally!!! Hi , Wow! That was a comprehensive email! I just wanted to say how sorry I am about your sister-in-law. You are all in my prayers. Guest guest
Ahhhh the wonders of email ... this just arrived in my inbox!!!! Once again , thanks ) Finally!!! Hi everyone, I finally waded through all of the emails that have come in since Christmas Eve. It was more than 200. My goodness, we are a verbose group. I must admit that I didn’t read all of each email but got the gist of what was being said. I have taken notes on some of the emails so that I could respond to them. To , , Dana, Connie and . Thank you so much for responding to the article I sent the group about my transplant. The main paper had the article with a black and white pic., but the local to York (local to me) had a color pic with 3 others and email addresses for people who were interested in donating a kidney. I liked that part of the article the best. I wish he had been able to put that in the Charlotte section too. I am glad to have Dave and back. Dave I am glad you are back because we can use all the humor that we can get. I am sorry about your depression . I see where Rita is also dealing with depression. The only advice that I can give on depression is, DON’T deal with it!!! Get rid of it right away. Go to the Doc and get on some drugs that will make that thing go away. I have been on antidepressants since they started talking to me about transplant. I got it doubled when they turned my sisters down as potential donors. The way I feel about depression is that it prevents you from being able to think straight. With a serious disease like Iga you NEED to be able think straight. Transplants – I am so glad that all is going will for , , Kathy, and Lynne’s sons. Isn’t it wonderful that we can have the joy of being really well? I ’m sorry that ’s son is having difficulties with his transplant. It always shakes me up when I go back to the transplant clinic and they ask, " Is this your first transplant? " We do think that this is THE fix, but of course it is a treatment. I surely wish that it were. But we have to think positively that our transplant will last for a really good number of years. New members – A warm welcome to Harvey, , , Lea, Carol whose daughter has Iga, and Martha who posted for the first time. You are all joining a very special group of people here. I am sure that you will feel supported by all of these great folks and get answers from the very knowledgeable people who are on this list. It amazes me the information that is shared here. I will try to be better about keeping up, but I am going to have to go out of town again because it looks like my sister-in-law is not going to be with us much longer. We received that info last night. My mother-in-law is with us and it was a very rough night last night. I feel sorry that my husband is going through this, but for a mother to lose her daughter. I can’t imagine the pain that she has been going through. She has been up there with her daughter for 3 weeks. We tore my mother-in-law away because she was getting so run down because she was almost living at the hospital. To all of you, I hope that you had a wonderful holiday and will have a Blessed New Year in 2004. I Pray that all who are on Dialysis and are waiting for a kidney get the call this year. The earlier the better! I love you each and every one of you because you all have a special place on this very unique list group. Take care and God Bless you. And a special thank-you Pierre because you are my hero for starting this group. Having waded through those bad emails, I really got an appreciation for what the moderators do for us.
