Guest guest
mmmm...I love sandwich spread too! I used to take sandwich spread sandwiches to school and kids would make fun of me! One thing that's good that i haven't had in a long time is a thick slice of homemade brown bread, sandwich spread and cut up green olives on top! The best thing I have eaten recently is Cadbury dream bar. They are white chocolate and they used to have them everywhere. I found some in a dollar store last November and kept craving them after that but I couldn't find them anywhere then! Saturday I was at that dollar store and they still had them! I ended up getting 10 bars cause I think they might not be making them anymore. I didn't even want one Saturday when I got home...I put them away and forgot about them. Sunday I had a craving for something sweet and a few squares of that really hit the spot!! Looking for the perfect gift? Give the gift of Flickr! Guest guest
The best thing is hard to say butI will tell you two of the most recent things I have truly enjoyed I went to chili's recently and had a a steak cooked just the way I liked it and really enjoyed eating it because I ate slowly and didn't eat it rapidly the way I used to before IE. The second thing was I went to Olive Garden on my bird ay and had parmesan crusted tilapia that was really good and I noticed that their was a real difference in the taste of fresh parmesan cheese and the kind that it comes in a can or is processed . You have eaten since starting IE and what made it the best? I'm just curious! If you've been practicing IE for a long time, what's the best in the most recent past....The best thing I have eaten...Aunt Millie's 12 grain bread with sandwich spread. The Aunt Millie's bread is kind of nutty and adds a lot of flavor to everything. I LOVE sandwich spread and I found a hole-in-the-wall place here in Greenfield that sells the best. Together I think I could live on it....for about a week. The bread is not soft "Wonder-bread" like. It's firmer with a chewy texture. The sandwich spread is thick with a heavy dill flavor. It's made with mayonnaise....Gillian's favorite! ------------------------------------
Guest guest
My current favorite is the peanut buster parfait at Dairy Queen. > > You have eaten since starting IE and what made it the best? If you've been practicing IE for a long time, what's the best > in the most recent past.... I'm assuming you mean 'best' as in best tasting/most satisfying? I'm not sure I can narrow it down to one - Roast beef, yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes, and gravy kefir cheese whirled with garlic, basil, walnuts and olive oil spread on crispy wheat crackers. chocolate souffles with cream christmas pudding with brandy butter and brandy sauce fresh baked biscuits (american style - from scratch) with lots of cultured butter and raw honey and in the British style - scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam bacon and fried bread rainbow chard and red onions sauted in lots of butter 'Zuppa Toscana' (olive garden recipe, but made at home) with homemade french bread - and more of that cultured butter Liege waffles in Belgium (Okay, that was a couple of years ago, but they were that good ) Fettucini alfredo (my recipe) with grilled chicken Tandori chicken and onion bhajis Fudge brownie pie with whipped cream potato pizza sourdough bread, fresh from the oven spread with lots of - you guessed it - cultured butter genoa salami i think I'll quit now... Guest guest
How refreshing to be able to discuss food! I belonged to a diet group once where members were not allowed to discuss " forbidden foods " because this was considered " drug talk " . It is so much fun to now be part of a world where there ARE no forbidden foods and we can actually talk about food without fear of censorship! I was very surprised to discover that one of my favorite foods at this point in my life is Marshmallow Fluff! I don't recall liking it when I was young, but apparently I like it now. I enjoy an occasional Fluffernutter sandwich (peanut butter and marshmallow fluff) on whole grain bread. And for a quick and easy dessert, I make my version of a " s'more " . I take graham crackers, spread a little fluff on them, stick a few chocolate chips on top, and pop it under the broiler for a few seconds. B. How screwed up are we (not us - you know who I mean) that the basic necessity of life is spoken of this way.
Guest guest
All I said was that eating was a basic human necessity - not the only one. i didn't say that sex was not a necessity - for the species as a whole anyway - an individual can survive a lot longer without sex than without food (not to mention the fact that porn goes way beyond sex). My point was that so many people think of eating as if it was a shameful act - if they eat what they think they shouldn't they are 'bad' and feel 'guilty' - they eat in secret and feel they need punishment or forgiveness - and food is necessary to life and we are obviously meant to enjoy it - what else are taste buds for? It's not really that important though. It was just how I heard some ladies talking about it somewhere else and what the previous poster said reminded me of of it. > > > > How refreshing to be able to discuss food!
