Guest guest
I think that it is always beneficial if all posts are sent to the group, and not privately; that way we all benefit. With regard to what you are experiencing, Connie, I think you should ask your neurologist and ask him/her also to do blood work to see if you are deficient in any minerals: potassium, sodium--both chlorides, or even possibly magnesium. This was the case on several occasions for me and I do have MS, too. Love to you, Connie, and to all the group, n To: Group <mserslife >Sent: Friday, January 9, 2009 11:48:03 AMSubject: forwarding note from new member Connie Our new member, Connie, (geremy1971) wrote this for the group:I need to know if this horrendous pain & muscle cramps spasms goes awayonce treatment starts. Can anyone email me please.Thank you Connie SharonThis email is a natural hand made product. Guest guest
Hi, Connie! I imagine it varies from person to person, but the joint pain, muscle cramps, etc I have had with the last 2 flares got much much better once the flare had passed. n’s suggestion about the mineral deficiencies is a good one too – being just a little short, particularly of potassium or magnesium, can make a huge difference. (Most vitamins and minerals can be toxic if you take too much, though, so be sure and check with your doctor!) in WY " You get a wonderful view from the point of no return... Guest guest
Welcome Connie,.......don't forget to have your D levels checked too. Low Vit. D can cause bone pain. Mine has been low, and when I started taking a supplemental D3, it diminished the pain. I still have the nerve and muscle pains, but the bone pain was better. Ask your Dr. to add that test for D levels. By the way I'm Jackie from Oregon, having MS dx'ed back in 1995, but symptoms since 1981. Guest guest
However I would still get a test to see if you need it. Not everyone is deficient, and if you take too much it can be toxic. Thats what I read when I did my research about it.
