Guest guest
I was having that problem awhile back. I kept waking up around 4 and couldn't figure out what was wrong. I wasn't really thinking that I could be hungry...not awake enough I guess. Then one night I woke up and I was starving...I think my stomach growling was what woke me up! I find if I have a snack before bed this doesn't happen. Nothing huge...some cheese and crackers or a cookie. I haven't woken up early since I've been doing that. wrote: I wake up starving at 3 or 4 in the morning. And I'm starving when Ifinally get up for the day. Any ideas as to what is going on here? Or what I should do? Be smarter than spam. See how smart SpamGuard is at giving junk email the boot with the All-new Yahoo! Mail
Guest guest
The sad things is that I did have a snack. Some cottage cheese, cup of milk, and a cookie. I was ravenous at 3:00 a.m. It's crazy and it's not the first time this has happened. > I wake up starving at 3 or 4 in the morning. And I'm starving when I > finally get up for the day. Guest guest
I am diabetic (type II) and my doctor told me to have a small protein snack before bed because if I don't my body releases glucose during the night and that raises my sugar in the morning. From that I think it makes total sense that you might get hungry during the night depending on what you ate last and how active you were before bed. If I remember to have a " snack " it's small... usually just a tablespoon of peanut butter or a small handful of peanuts. I am usually not " hungry " at bedtime, but also not " full " . > I wake up starving at 3 or 4 in the morning. And I'm starving when I > finally get up for the day. Guest guest
Is it PMS time? It is for me right now, and for the past week I've been waking up at 4 am every single day. I'm so tired of it. Sometimes I get up and have a glass of milk and can go back to sleep, but it depends on how awake I get. > > I wake up starving at 3 or 4 in the morning. Guest guest
Nope, not PMS time. That was last week. However, last night I had a little more food before going to bed (larger snack) and I didn't feel the crazy hunger. In fact, I think I ate more overall throughout the day due to my true hunger. Why can't that real, crazy hunger hit me during the day insted of 3 or 4 a.m.? Nutty! Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now. Guest guest
I've had this problem a lot but I have been taking prednisone for 3 yr. and it seems connected to that. I did find a solution. I keep breath mints by my bed and a couple of those eases my tummy. > > I wake up starving at 3 or 4 in the morning. And I'm > starving when I > > finally get up for the day. Guest guest
Well, that's good that you got through the night without it happening. In my case it happens to me when my cortisol is low - Besides PMS, a stressful day can do it. > > Nope, not PMS time. That was last week.
