Guest guest
PH ~ One of the things we deal with, having fungal issues, is mal-absorption issues. The fungus keeps our nutrients from absorbing and all. As you rid yourself of all those fungals and get your whole digestive system up and running well, then you will absorb your nutrients properly again.........and things will return to their proper state...... Guest guest
Hi PH. I wonder if I have a copper deficiency. Is that tested through a hair sample? I should bring that up to my naturopath when I see him. Steph
Guest guest
Hi Steph, I had mine tested through hair, it was normal a year ago. I just wonder what it is now and if, like those other two, make a huge difference in my health. I don't know if it can be tested through blood or urine as well. Let me know what your naturopath says. My GOL Calcium Living Supplement has copper in it...I just don't know if I'm absorbing enough. Love, PH --- In , " stephie0580 " <stephie0580@...> wrote: > > Hi PH. Guest guest
PH, This could be an issue. My naturopath did not address this with me, and now that I am reviewing my heavy metals test, I am confused. My baseline showed I was low. My chelation challenge showed high excretion of copper. Then my final test showed me low again. It's probably worth looking into. http://www.drlwilson.com/articles/copper_toxicity_syndrome.htm Here is a link that shows what copper is good for in the body and what foods are high in it. http://www.whfoods.com/genpage.php?tname=nutrient & dbid=53 What I have come to understand in all of this education from my implant illness, is that we really need to focus on getting adequate minerals. Selenium is needed for good thyroid function. Magnesium is vital for us...so many others...we definitely need a good multi- mineral. Patty > > > > Hi PH. I wonder if I have a copper deficiency. Guest guest
I'll let you know what he says when I see him. My next appt isn't until January but it's definitely worth looking into? Do you know of any good vitamins? Thanks Steph
Guest guest
Thanks for the links, Patty. I'm confused too with your heavy metals test. After reading the article you posted, I think maybe I'm copper toxic than copper deficient...who knows?! I'll eventually have a challenge test at Mercola's. Hopefully in two weeks. - PH > > > > > > Hi PH. I wonder if I have a copper deficiency. Is that tested > through > > a > > > hair sample? Guest guest
Stephie, I like Gillham Natural Vitality Liquid Organic Life Vitamins. I like the liquid because I feel like it absorbs better...don't really know, it just feels right for me. It has agave nectar in it which probably has sugar but it also has noni, aloe and grapefruit seed which makes up for it. -PH http://www.vitacost.com/-Gillham-Natural-Vitality-Liquid-Organic- Life-Vitamins --- In , " stephie0580 " <stephie0580@...> wrote: > > I'll let you know what he says when I see him. Guest guest
PH, I think it would be good to know if we are a fast or slow oxidizers...that, how our Phase 1 and Phase 2 liver detox pathways are working. Some people have a problem with being too fast on one side of the equation, or too slow on the other. I believe that test can be done through Genova Diagnostics (used to be Great Smokies Diagnostics Labs)? http://www.gdx.net/home/assessments/detox/ Here is a good article (long, sorry!) about liver detoxification and which discusses the pathways. http://tuberose.com/Liver_Detoxification.html I wish I had this test done. Guest guest
Was the hair and the saliva test that you had done expensive? I don't think that my insurance would cover it. I'm going to bring up the hair analysis to my naturopath but I definitely want to have the saliva test done. I'm going to call my naturopath on Mon to see how much a saliva test would be. If it's more expensive than the Canary tests then I'm just going to order that one. Have you done the Canary testing? Steph > > > > Hi PH. I wonder if I have a copper deficiency. Guest guest
I had my vitamins tested and those levels came out fine but now I'm wondering about the minerals. Is the only testing for minerals through a hair analysis? Steph > > I came across two stories last night of people who suffered from > candida and hypothyroidism for years. Guest guest
Hi Stephie, Lots of things build up the immune system. This is what I use. Guest guest
Thanks, I seen this before at Whole Foods. What dosage do you take? Guest guest
Do you also know if it's ok to take it with other supplements? I also seen the MSM lotion at Whole Foods which is great for dry skin. Steph > > > > > > > > > > > > I'll let you know what he says when I see him. Guest guest
For now I take it with other supplements. The woman at WF said it's important to take supplements on a full stomach and together because they work in harmony. In two weeks Dr. Mercola's office will go over what I'm taking. His philosphy is use as little supplements as possible, letting food be the primary source for vitamins and minerals. Definitely let your naturopath know what you take.
