Guest guest
Just wanted to drop a quick line to give everybody a Holiday Status report! We are in the process of firing another Oncologist! This will make 9 or 10-we lose count. Very frustrating, as we are simply looking for somebody who is willing to take the extra step for us, and give us some options or a sign of hope. Not to simply say, " your breathing must be related to tumor burden-how many more painkillers do you need? " While there arent currently lots of options left, there are some. We simply want an advocate fighting for us, directing our treatment in a way that will extend my 37 years on this earth into 38. So my wife had us " interviewing " new oncologists last week. We'll see where that goes. It is interesting to hear their very different viewpoints that these oncologists have about courses of treatment. So the next step for me-according to my in-house research assistant and home health expert (my wife)-Starting Sterotactic Radiation Surgery at Staten Island University Hospital on 1/5. Have 3 weeks of treatments specifically targeted at lungs and liver. Will let everybody knows how it goes. Peace and health for everybody during this Holiday Season. Our best to all! Mark and the Wife of Mark.
