Guest guest
Hi Sandy, Everyone has candida in their intestines and elsewhere in the body. It's only when it becomes out of balance that you get digestion problems like bloating, vaginal yeast infections, thrush, sinus infections and other yeast infections anywhere...I met a guy where I detox who has it in his ear! As long as you keep up with the caprylic acid and are careful with your diet, you're on the right track to getting rid of it. Yes, your bloating/swelling could be from the candida and not a weight issue. Sometimes I would bloat so badly that I'd look 4 months pregnant! Just because you don't herx that much doesn't mean it's not working. I don't think I herx that much. I did a little in the beginning but not anymore. - PH > > Rogene I started right away taking two capsules > three times a day of Caprylic Acid. > > My system seems to be fine thus far > > I am not losing all my weight > even though my stomach is still going down. > > Is Candida inflamation of the intestin.e ?? > Is that why I am swelled not nessasarly a weight issue. ?? > > I have not herks from detoxing yet either. > Do all woman herks ?? > > Sandy~ > > > Krista, > > I think you'll find Caprylic Acid is amazing! . . . > > Just start slow.. . . Guest guest
Sandy . . . The fact that you're not herxing means that you've already begun getting Candida under control . . Probably the Nystatin or Diflucan you've been taking. . . Enjoy it! Candida really isn't an inflammation . . . It's a fungal organism . .. normal to our body . . . However it prevents the good organisms (flora) from doing it's job in helping break down our food so the nutrients can be released. . . It's the balance between good and bad that is important . . . For healthy people, the good organisms keep the bad ones in check. Antibiotics kill off the good with the bad . . . In some cases, the good ones can never be restored. I suspect that's the case for us. We won't have to take probiotics at the levels we have been, but we'll probably need to consider them part of our diet for the rest of our lives. I'm convinced that Fungal issues are epidemic because of antibiotics and the way foods are grown. We're not the only ones with problems by any means! The bad organisms can create gas that causes bloating . . . Hugs,Rogene
Guest guest
Cherie,I'd suggest you see a naturopathic doctor . . . Finding an excellent one can be difficult. You might try inquiring at health food stores or checking with friends. You'll find some of their techniques require a leap of faith when you're brought up with conventional medicine. However, the results are what count! . . . For myself, I'll try anything that doesn't hold the possibility of making things worse.OR, try to find a M.D. who practices holistic medicine. . . There are more all the time. Since you're in a metropolitan area, I'm sure there are some there. . . You may be able to find one through an online search. I think they have formed an organization to support each other.Right now, if there's anything that I think will help, it will be the foot baths . . . Although, if the problem is fungal, and I think it is, it should respond to an antifungal ointment - (the same kind as used for jock itch). Not an antibiotic ointment. Use a cotton swab to get it as far up your nose (both sides) as possible. . . It may not fix it immediately . . . but it can't hurt either. Dr. Kolb has been very generous in helping everyone, whether they are patients or not. ly, I don't know how she does it. . . She's an extremely busy women. Regardless, keep turning rocks over until you find an answer! . . . Never give up!Happy Thanksgiving,Rogene
Guest guest
Sandy,Actually, I don't think store-bought sauerkraut is going to do you much good. I don't think most of the beneficial organisms would make it past what they have to do to it to get it on the grocery shelf. We have a recipe for organic sauerkraut in the archives. . . It's easy to make, and tastes different than what you get at the grocery. Rubin recommends eating two tablespoons (raw) three times a day.It kinda of grows on you once you start eating it. . . Just like Kefir. Homemade Kefir is much better for you too.Hugs,Rogene

Guest guest
Hi Rogene, Yes, I have one, bought it for my daughter a couple of years ago. How funny, I forgot I had it. She has not been sick in a long time, she's a healthy girl for having autism. Thanks for mentioning it! I do not like taking meds either, sudifed puts me on another planet! LOL! I actually had bought a nasal spray a while back at the health food store for congestion, it has grapefruit seed extract in it. I really has helped. I hate nose sprays from the drugstore and their horrible for you. Thanks and hugs, Cherie > > No, you can't take too much Vitamin C . . . You'll just waste whatever your body doesn't want. > > Have you tried using a Vick's vaporizer machine? . . . It helps me, without using meds. Inexpensive at Walmart or drug stores. > > Hugs, > > Rogene >
Guest guest
Cherie,I've found Echineca works, especially if I load up on it at the first sign of a cold. . . Then, the cold may never take hold. . . Usually I can tell a cold is on its way when I wake up with a scratchy feeling in my throat . . . If I ignore it, I'll have a cold in a few days. . . If I take Echineca, it will be gone the next day.Hugs,Rogene
Guest guest
Beth,How quickly you feel better is pretty much an individual thing. . . Hopefully you'll be ready to work in a week or less. .. Sometimes it's taken longer.I started 8 hour a day classes in less than a week of explant. . . as soon as I got the drains out. Detoxing is a broad term . . . One of the best things you can do to detox is to get your diet in order . . . "The Maker's Diet" really says it all. . . . It will help you understand why the health of your digestive system is so important. . . "The Yeast Connection" will help you understand the problems systemic fungal issues can cause . . . There are a host of detox program that target different parts of your body . . . but you'll have time for those once you get fungal issues under control. . . I'm assuming you have problems there, because virtually all implanted women do! We have a lot of discussion about various things . . . The ionic foot bath is something that pulls major stuff out - fast. You can see some pictures of a foot bath in progress in the Photo section. . . Pretty nasty stuff! If I had to chose only one detox program, it would be that.I'm not sure that any of us completely recover from our implant experience. It seems that we can reach a point where we wouldn't know we ever had a problem . . . when life is good and we don't have any restrictions. . . However, as soon as we push past our limits, or go back to old habits, it can jump up and grab us again. . . . I consider it walking a balance beam . . . As long as I follow my program, I stay in balance. . . If I mess up on any SINGLE area, I'm subject to falling. . . My goal is to keep that beam as wide and as close to the floor as possible, so I can climb back up faster if I fall.I'm one of the moderators on the group. . . Patty is the founder. She's been really busy lately and I've been posting a lot . .. However, we have a really smart group of ladies here who want to help and understand what you're going through. . . Without them, this group couldn't work. If you have any questions, or just want to vent . . . please chime in. We're here to help each other! We sometimes have different opinions. That's fine . . . You can decide what is right for you. Hugs and prayers,Rogene
