HI All,

Glad you're none the worse for wear, Vicki. More or less, anyway!

I just read today part of the conference transcripts on the MAA site

and found it interesting. In particular, one of the specialists, Dr.

I think, said that he doesn't see fibromyalgia occurring with

myositis patients, only rarely. He said other rheumatoid/autoimmune

diseases are much more common with myositis. He said that doesnt mean

you CAN't have fibro if you have or had myositis, just that it isn't

seen much. Hmmmm.... also, his discussion of CPK levels I found

interesting- and it clarified things more for me. Think I'll print it

out. Wish there were more transcripts. A couple other things I found

informative, as well- his discussion of losing bits of muscle with

every flare up, etc.

Annette. way to go! Can't beleive you finished the portrait

already! I imagine you've said " yes " to the other people re: painitng

their grandchildren! Good luck Vicki with the drawing- take

your time.

Hi ... was that this years transcripts or last years... ??? The

part about losing more muscle with each flare was and is interesting

though. Explains a lot. I remember Dr. talking about that this

year. I just wish we knew more and more doctors were involved.

Watch Oprah today and take care,

Vicki

... I sure did say yes to painting the grandchildren. My van needs

lots of work, and therefore so do I! :-) Annette

....I don't know what or who you were answering, but I have PM

and fibromyalgia....so that's a bunch of BUNK...It came on about 8

months after being dx with PM...they say it takes some kind of trauma

to set off the fibro...
