Guest guest
Sounds like you have a plan in place so don't worry about it. If the weight is constantly up and down, have you checked to make sure the family cat isn't attached to your leg on alternate weeks? That might explain it! Stick with it. You'll break through. Try some different stuff at the gym. Sometimes the variety can cause a breakthrough in the plateau. Jon --- " virginiaham1965 " wrote: Ok, I am doing this differently than I did last time. Last time I wasn't eating even to the bottom of my points range on most days- depriving my body- starving my body. I lost the weight, but I looked yucky at 140 pounds. This time I am doing it right, eating my midrange points, excercising five days a week- except this week- and I am losing, gaining, losing, gaining...the same three pounds over and over. My goals this week are to move my body more outside the gym and to drink my water. I will not allow myself any 1 point ice cream until and unless I do those two things. Last week's weight-166.6 This week's weight-168.6 Any words of encouragement would be greatly appriciated.
Guest guest
That sucks Virginia, but I know how you feel. My suggestion is to eat more!! I did the same thing you did for about 4 months and then I started eating every point allowed to me (Daily high in range and all AP's--but not over 4 if I earned more than 4 a day) I have had at least a 2 pound per week loss each week (aside from TOM) since I have been doing this. Guest guest
Are you eating your activity points? As others have found, eating at the high end of their range and eating the earned activity points (up to 4) have really helped them. Sounds like you have a good plan in place... exercising and drinking that water!! PS. What brand is the 1-point ice cream? I know I read about this before, but I can't remember the brand. Guest guest
Hi Virginia, I can relate to your problem...have been experiencing the same thing for weeks now. My leader called it a plateau. I suspected as much, but nothing I seemed to try differently has helped much. I Keep gaining and losing the same 1 or 2 pounds. I guess the key word here is " PATIENCE. " If you're following the program and doing everything right, your body will eventually have to let go of the weight. I know it's really frustrating, but we just got to hang in there. Good luck. Guest guest
Drink that water!!! When you don't, your body hangs on to the wate; but when you hydrate, it releases it. Drink up!!!! Guest guest
Do you really think it is wise to use food as a reward? I worry that you might get discouraged and eat it anyway? I know that sounds like I am being harsh, but I really do not mean it that way, I am just asking what you really think. It sounds like you are punishing yourself with the ice cream and then rewarding yourself with it. I don't think that 1pt ice cream would be putting you over the edge. Take care and have a high point range week, Moe Virginia's WI- man this is hard! > Ok, I am doing this differently than I did last time. Guest guest
Hi Virginia, You have gotten lots of good advice on this one. All I can add is that you hang in there. If you truly stick with the program, it has got to come off at some point. I am a slower loser, so I can relate. Since you have tried the low end and the high end etc, As an after thought have you rechecked some of the things you maybe don't measure anymore, but guess at. Sometimes we make mistakes in this area that are critical and don't even realize it. Doing something like this every day, can slow us also. best to ya...Kallie. .......................................................................
