Guest guest
Hi Ruth, I thought I might have had a battery problem, so I tried three different sets of batteries - Duracell, Energizer and a no name brand. No matter what brand I use, the problem still persists. I also tried your suggestion with no luck. I haven't thrown out the strips that won't work. I have been saving them in an empty test strip bottle. I have tried everything I can think of, so if you have any other suggestions I could try, I will give them a shot. Thanks, Problem with Prodigy Voice Hi, I have been using the Prodigy Voice for awhile now and really like the meter. However, I have noticed a troubling problem and was wondering if anyone else has come across a similar problem. Sometimes, when I insert a test strip in the meter, the meter will not turn on and I don't receive the message that the test strip was inserted. Reinserting the strip does not solve the problem. I must then take another strip from the bottle and insert it in the meter. It seems that this is happening with at least five strips per bottle of test strips. I have gone through all the troubleshooting tips in the manual and replaced the batteries in the meter with no luck. At this point, I don't know if it is a problem with the meter or the test strips themselves. This has happened with more than one bottle of test strips. Has anyone else experienced similar problems and do you have any suggestions? I find that too many strips are being wasted. Thanks,
Guest guest
Hi , Did you check the bottle to see what it said on it? Guest guest
Although I don't have that particular meter, being it isn't available in the UK. However, I know this sounds like teaching grandmother to suck eggs! Smiles. But is it possible to get a reading of your blood, if you turn on your meter manually? I some times have this problem with my SensorCard Plus meter! Rowe Problem with Prodigy Voice Hi, I have been using the Prodigy Voice for awhile now and really like the meter. Guest guest
Hi Ruth, The last time I checked, the strips were for the Prodigy Voice. I will double check again when I can get someone to read the label for me. Thanks, Problem with Prodigy Voice Hi, I have been using the Prodigy Voice for awhile now and really like the meter. Guest guest
Hi, You can turn the meter on manually, but it does not recognize that it has a test strip in it. It's as if the meter was turned on with no strip inserted in it. Re: Problem with Prodigy Voice Although I don't have that particular meter, being it isn't available in the UK. Guest guest
Hi , The Voice meter is turned on by putting in the strip. If you push the M key to turn on the meter and then put in a test strip, the meter won't work. Good idea though. Guest guest
Hi Ruth, I just wanted to confirm that I have the strips for the Prodigy Voice. I had the label read to me and it says the strips are for the Prodigy Voice and not the Autocode. I have tried all the suggestions I have received on the list with no luck so far.
