Guest guest
Hmmmm problem is you don't know they're negative until you've been around them?? ) Good luck ) Dave Re: Happy New Year I have tons - the usual, lose weight, keep on exercising EVERYDAY! Also to stay away from negative people - seems like my workplace is suffering from lots of negativity these days. My goal is keep the middle ground, yet stay true to myself. Wish me luck - some days I think it easier to be working with first graders! " Pierre L (groups) " wrote:Happy New Year everybody. Hard to believe another year is passed, isn't it? Guest guest
Rita, I really like your one about negative people. Setting limits is a hard, hard thing to do. That's one I've been working on. Guest guest
Hi Stuart, Your resolutions are the same as ours (especially, that bit about diet.... groan.). I'm sorry that you had to stop volunteering. It's a struggle - even for a healthy person - to fit in school, employment, volunteer stuff - and what?? have a life too?? Throwing kidney problems into the mix just ups the ante. If you don't mind my asking, what was the problem with school? The good news is the job market (at least where I live) is much much better so hopefully you won't have too much of a problem finding a new job. All of the people I know (including myself) who were hit badly by the layoffs are back gainfully employed. It was funny - two friends who were laid off around the same time I was (11/02) all became re-employed about the same time (10/03).
