Guest guest
Hi everyone - Well, today we finally took the plunge. My daughter has been on the diet for 7 months and this morning we gave her 1/4 teaspoon of yogurt that we made with goat's milk and the custom probiotic starter. This morning was amazing. She had great eye contact and actually played a jumping game with my mother. She's NEVER had anything except minimal interaction with grandma over the past 4 years. When she said goodbye, she even leaned her head in for a kiss! Now here's the upsetting part. After she had a bm today at noon, her day started to take a downturn. We're seeing behaviors that we haven't seen in months -- obsessive desire to ride the escalator at the mall, repeatedly leaning on and hugging her baby sister, running around in circles on the trampoline -- I think you get the picture. Is this typical? Could the bad behaviors be die-off? Or a negative reaction? We were thinking of skipping a day tomorrow, and trying another 1/4 teapsoon on Monday morning. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone! Kate, Mom to ASD Age 4, SCD 7 months
