Guest guest
Good evening all. An interesting topic. This afternoon I went out for my walk. I wandered down to the lake, and just kind of meandered along the shore -- well, meandered as much as possible, when the temperature was in the low 20s F, with a wind chill that made it feel like 0 F. But as I walked, I got to look around. Up here, just outside Toronto, and on the north side of Lake Ontario, we have almost no snow. You can see more green than white on the lawns. The sky was clear overhead and to the north, and the sun was shining brightly. But to the south, another story. The south sky was grey, really grey, and you could tell the grey was from storm clouds. And, of course, just about 40 miles away, across the lake, lies the city of Buffalo. I hear the snowfall there is now 7 feet and climbing, just over the last eight days. Sometimes it pays to be from the right side of the tracks -- or of the lake. Welcome to the new members. And you oldtimers, stay warm. Guest guest
Mike... You have a talent for poetic language! Your descriptions have the cadence and imagery of a poem.
