Hi Lynn, It depends on the child, of course, but the most common things we've seen on the list for intolerances of nuts are basically the same things with intolerances of other things - increased stimminess, hyperactivity, irritability, etc. in terms of behaviors. With physical things - it's rashes and change in bms - most commonly grainy bms where it looks like there is still nut flour in them. I do remember a very long time ago when this grainy thing came up. It was on an old list so I don't know where it is now, but Elaine said she wasn't too worried about the " undigested flour " showing up in the bms IF there were not other bad reactions present. Does anyone remember that?? It seemed to me that she was saying it was probably ok to use it if that was the only sign of difference. With that said, I still don't give very much nut flour - nut butter is much better for him and the only difference is how long I leave the nuts in the food processor. The creamier, the better - makes sense when I visualize his soft little intestines. Now, for nut allergies - that is a whole 'nother ball game and I don't think it's what you were asking about, right? son - 5yo, ASD, SCD one year+

Guest guest
, THanks so much for your reply. It was helpful. I am cutting back on nut flours and using mostly nutbutter, but the only possible intolerance I'm seeing is grainy poos. Normal otherwise, just looks like he swallowed sand. No extra stimming or other behaviors. Just the same I " m attempting to use more of the butters. Lynn
Guest guest
I am curious about these stool issues because of the white flecks in stools. I thought it was yeast. Could it possibly be the pecan flour? Is it that they don't digest it? I don't know what the different types of stools mean on this diet. Maybe it is the pears? How do you know. Sorry if these are dumb questions.........Also what is a good all around enzyme in case of eating in a restaurant or accidental ingestion of illegals. I do not give enzymes anymore due to constipation but would like to keep some on hand. Guest guest
I meant he has grainy poos after nut flour. Nut butter doesn't cause that. He hasn't had pears until once last week. Made it into muffins. Interesting though. m.l. > ----- Original Message ----- > " using mostly nutbutter, but the only possible > intolerance I'm seeing is grainy poos.
