Hello pcramer@... (Pattie),

In reference to your comment:

è ***___ shunt or a Tenckhoff intrapleural catheter. "

Just a stab in the dark here, but it could be pleural shunt or pleurodesis

shunt. Dunno if this helps or not. :/

The patient has a right lung cancer with a right upper lobe effusion.

The doctor says: I also discussed with him my concerns that there may be

some trapping of the lung preventing an adequate pleurodesis, and I

discussed the options of either placing a ***___ shunt or a Tenckhoff

intrapleural catheter. "

The shunt sounds like it starts pleuro----.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Pattie
