Guest guest
Hi Dena, I know you are having a terrible time with fatigue with your hematocrit that low. I could barely fuction at work when I was that low. I assume they have checked your iron levels and iron storage to ensure you have adequate iron needed to make the red blood cells. I have not heard of hysterectomy to help anemia. That sounds pretty drastic to me unless you are having problems with excessive bleeding. I agree with you that having more knowledge makes you feel more in control. I also thinks it helps to have decided the method of dialysis. If you have not yet, you would enjoy reading the dialysis stories of Pierre (hemodialysis) and (PD Dialysis) on www.igan.ca. Do you know when you will be starting dialysis? Just knomw that we are here for you to walk through this with you step by step! , writing temporarily from a very cold Kansas! Can't wait to get back to a warmer California at the end of this week.
