Guest guest
Yes, my banana allergy is linked to latex cross reactive Foods that often affect people with Latex and Natural Rubber Allergy. This should not be a concern for the majority on the list as it affects only a small segment of the population. Other trigger foods for latex allergy: chestnut, celery, apple, carrot, Kiwi, avocado. I no longer try these foods as I react almost every time. latex allergy can get worse with each exposure so practice careful avoidance. SCD has not alleviated this. > A question... > Does anyone have experience with banana allergy, a cross-reaction to > latex allergy? Guest guest
Yes, my banana allergy is linked to latex cross reactive Foods that often affect people with Latex and Natural Rubber Allergy. Carol, I am curious about this comment because my daughter had a violent reaction to banana last week after I put it back in her diet after being out of her diet about a month. The no-fenol did not work and I know it was more of a allergic reaction. Can you explain this more in detail. Does it have to do with latex due to some of the same components? This doesn't mean she could have a latex allergy does it? Thank you. Guest guest
Kathy, I emailed you links to info on Latex Allergy. It only affects a small segment of the population. There are tests called TRUE and RAST but they aren't always accurate and you should be guided by reactions more than test results. Guest guest
>Another question -- Will I see an initial bad reaction upon >introducing the Custom Probiotics? This is the only one I have an answer for - when I started CP it was so much stronger/more potent than the over the counter stuff I'd been using, I had some pain/upset in the bowels and then passed hard nasty stuff followed by lots of water. Also some die-off feelings a few days. Luke did not react too badly to intro'ing it, though.
