Good that you give iodine somehow or the other.Heidi N's mail is beautiful. The big pharma shoed away iodine from the market just as Yeast has been shoed away to makeway for big pharma's costly B complex capsules. I used to make my own B vitamins from yeast. I stopped because its cumbersome. The vitamin C discoverer late Dr. Albert Gyorgi wrote that when he was a student of medical school the popular saying making circles among students was:"If ye don't know where, what and why?Prescribe ye then K and i"K and i means Ki, that is Potassium Iodide.Dose is crucial. If I go beyond one drop of Lugol's in a glass of water, I start to have boils on the skin. I have had 7 of them. I finished each of them by Lugol's three drops directly on them and drying it for a minute.Recently I think my two boils are due to this one drop. May be I am loaded with bromide that Lugol's is detoxifying. Anyway, I can tolerate well a smear of Lugol's on my skin. So I will shift to the skin mode.--------------Ratan Singh, Phone: 91 141 2652561, mail: ratanpsych@...- Certificate in Food & Nutrition; Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education; Life Member, Nutrition Soc. of India; Member ISOM- Author of "Nutrition & Supplements in Major Mental Illnesses";- M.A. (Psychol), Postgraduate Diploma in Medical & Social Psychology, Ph.D.;- Certified Behavior Therapist (from late Prof. J. We give iodine. Our DAN has also suggested that we just add it to bath water. Pills are easier for me to remember, though! :)I use Kelp for iodine.

Two great points. I have had great success with sublingual B12. I

bought Lugols a year or so ago, and it got lost in my cubboard, but I

recently found it. When I was a kid, most parents were putting the red

iodine on their children's cuts. Seems they didn't know how much they

were probably helping their child out. I remember in my twenties, some

people used iodine for sunburn, for it was considered healing. Then,

all of a sudden, iodine gets taken off the market with the claim that it

speeds up the heart-rate. I never got that from it, but if one already

had a condition with very rapid heart-rate, maybe taking iodine, at

least in a large amount, could be a concern. If you look at the

literature on iodine, you would think it's the cure-all, especially for

thyroid problems. I have seen research where iodine can remove toxins

from the thryoid, such as flouride (flouride can severely damage the

thyroid). On the adult forums where adults talk about treating

themselves for chronic illnesses, iodine is mentioned frequently. I

think if you went in to the average Emergency Room and told them you

gave your kid iodine, some of the docs would claim child abuse, since

they are told to be cautious about it raising heart-rates. So, this is

probably why parents don't get into using it. For a wise and trained

person, it can be great, but a careless person could possible overdo

it. I research things alot, but I know that most parents don't

research as much as me, so I have to be careful when I mention things,

to let them know that there is a way to do things correctly, no matter

what it is. I don't know what strength the old red iodine was that

used to be sold in stores, but it sure was used a lot without fear.

Love and prayers,

Heidi N

Hi:

To questions to the group.

#1. Why is nobody talking of using the good old Lugol's iodine to kill

candida? Iodine is anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-viral.

Is it that its quickly absorbed such that its effect is only on the

probable fungus in the blood, not in the intestines?

#2. There are some reports that sublingual mb12 gives results at 3000

mcg and higher even if the serum level are already

normal and there are no signs of deficiency. I can understand that

sublingual route is not possible in children, but what

about adult cases? Why are we not talking of this?

Thanks.
