Guest guest
Teddi, Glad to hear you had a nice visit with the new doctor. It helps that you got samples too. I always try to ask even though my insurance covers it, but even still, all the deductables can break you. Take care teddi bear!! Guest guest
Teddi...one thing...Lipitor is a statin and statins have been known to aggravate muscles. That was the first thing I was ordered off...docs suspected it caused my problems. now, I'm on questran...bleck! Guest guest
I have been on Lipitor for several years with no ill effects. Six months ago my prev PCP took me off it to see if the numbers would stay down but with the pred it didn't happen Teddi mailto:teddifromok@... Guest guest
I see...well, I'm really suspicious...cause my muscle enzymes were at 3600. Stopped Lipitor in Sept. and now they're down to 777, aldolase is 13.7...still high, but doing better! I wonder if it was the cause or just contributed to it all. Guest guest
Hi Teddi... You mentioned an inner ear problem. Is that in any way attributed to DM? I've been having a problem with my ear for months...nothing bad, just " ear " itating. :-) Annette Dr visit Hi all Had my first regular visit with my new dr. today. Had already had the " get acquainted " visit and the very thorough check up visit but this was the one where we really talked about the things I wanted to. had made an outline for her so things clipped right along. First thing was the rx since my insr won't cover name brand anymore. Got some adjusted to generic and BTW Prozac is now out in a generic so she wrote a scrip for it but said that it was available everywhere yet. Chorestal is back up so have to go back to Lipitor......came away with a big bag of samples. Wants me to see a psychiatrist to help my depression.....better than adding more anti- depressents to my already handful of pills. Really, really happy with her. Nice to have a dr you can really talk to. All blood work was fine but she realizes that you can still feel like ----.Said my decreased functions.....stability, consentration, etc. are NOT old age but the good old DM.....LOL Asked her about bone density test and she wants to wait a bit and observe me first. Pres rheumy told me I didn't need one as we knew my bones were weak.....DUH Gave me med for restless legs...the one you have been talking about. and dramidine for dizzyness....cause...inner ear. FRED......have been trying the MSM & glucosimine and she endorsed it highly. That's about all except to add a disclainer on the spelling. Teddi mailto:teddifromok@... Guest guest
Makes ya wonder...the inner ear problem...and the recent thread about imbalance. I've noticed my balance isn't quite right. I haven't walked smack dab into a wall yet, but I'd think I was a little " tight " watching me walk every so often. Woke up this a.m. and my left ear is totally blocked! No news is good news...didn't get a call about the urine or blood test, so my frequency issues are med related! Yippee!! I felt so good last night, I cut my front grass, had to find it first for all the leaves. This a.m. it's rainy and gray. My muscles were " singing " afterwards, but in a good way! " Ear-irritating, " mighty good, Annette! Lynn --- Annette Flamand wrote: > Hi Teddi... You mentioned an inner ear problem. Is > that in any way > attributed to DM? Guest guest
Great Teddi! Glad it went so well. She sounds like someone who wants to work for you, not against you. Very good! Glad she gives out samples. That can help the pocketbook a little. Have a restful weekend.
