Guest guest
We are just doing chicken on the Foreman grill. It is fast and easy. Probably some veggies and some rice too. The healthy foods tend to get boring don't they? ~Krista > > Hi All, > I'm just curious what everyone's eating tonight. I'm bored with my > salads and want to do something different but easy. Guest guest
HA! They all sound so good! It is kinda depressing how foods like that would have put the biggest smile on my face a year ago. Now everything's so different. Everyone is so caught up in the Thanksgiving rush and all I can think of is what can I eat that won't increase the fungus! I know I should be grateful that I'm not starving but I miss the pleasure of food!! That raspberry chipotle sauce sounds delish!!! And I always forget how something as simple as rosemary can add so much. Hope you're doing ok Dede. Love, PH > > PH ~ > Well, I have several ideas... > > 1. Guest guest
They do don't they!? I feel so limited. I'm craving lasagne in the worst way but have to stay away from dairy and pasta. Maybe someday... Make sure you're doing brown rice instead of white as white feeds the yeast. - PH > > > > Hi All, > > I'm just curious what everyone's eating tonight. Guest guest
Krista, Healthy foods can be very tasty . . . you'll need to learn the world of herbs and spices. . . subscribed to Rubin's (The Maker's Diet) online diet program long enough to get some really good recipes! Junk food, without flavorings wouldn't taste good either. Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
We went out . . . I had a wonderful garden salad and some delicious bean soup . . . Outstanding! Guest guest
Sounds delicious, Rogene. I can't wait until I can eat out again! When you drink wine now how does it affect you? Looking back, as I was becoming ill but didn't know it, my alcohol intolerance was lessening to the point I'd feel tipsy after only 2 sips. I always made excuses like the martini must have been made stronger...but now I realize my liver was sluggish. - PH > > We went out . . . Guest guest
PH ~ Yes, my food desires have changed greatly. I actually dont crave sweets anymore. I dont know if I psyched myself out or what, I know I have huge fungal problem so it can be that they dont want the sweets....LOLOL I did use the raspberry chipolte on some chicken breast last evening, and it WAS really good. I wish I had some fish..... It is really good on fish. So, what did you have for dinner last night? Hope you have a good day and are feeling good.....Love DedeSee what's new at AOL.com and Make AOL Your Homepage.
Guest guest
How does your chicken taste on that Foreman grill? I bought one and while we loved how easy it was to cook the chicken, it made the checken taste like the teflon coating! Yeecchh!!! I gave it away. Last night I went to dinner with and her husband, who are from Michigan. was a member of this group, and explanted almost 2 years now. They came to Vegas and what a treat it was to meet them!!! We went to the Cheesecake Factory at Caesar's Palace and had a wonderful night of conversation and getting to know each other better. has made some great progress in her healing, and while she still suffers from stiffness and pain, she is working on that and hopeful that she will continue to get better. What a wonderful husband she has...he is so attentive to her needs. I have a recipe for an excellent sauce that is put on tilapia...which is what we ate for dinner the night before last night. Here's the recipe: 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese 1/4 cup softened butter 3 Tablespoons mayonnaise 2 Tablespoons fresh lemon juice 1/4 tsp dried basil 1/4 tsp pepper 1/8 tsp onion powder 1/8 tsp celery salt You mix all this together and after you have cooked your fish for a few minutes on each side till nearly done, you place this sauce on top of the fish and broil them for a few minutes until the topping is browned. IT is really yummy. I know it's hard when you have so many easier choices with processed foods, but healthy foods don't have to be boring. In time you'll have a nice collectin of recipes to work with. Patty > > > > Hi All, > > I'm just curious what everyone's eating tonight. Guest guest
PH, If you've done the caprylic acid in the high doses (3600 mg a day for 14 to 16 days) then your candida should be gone. Are you still following a candida diet? Is that Dr. Mercola's recommendation? I have to be honest....I never did the candida diet strictly. I cut out sugar for the most part and did my fasting, but I never truly denied myself foods that many on the candida do, such as pasta and dairy. (The only problem I know for sure that I have is a gluten sensitivity, so I need to stay away from gluten. But I broke that diet last year and have not been successful in sticking with it this year. What CAN you eat right now, according to Mercola? Patty > > > > > > Hi All, > > > I'm just curious what everyone's eating tonight. Guest guest
Hi Patty, I did the caprylic acid but yet I still bloat if I eat certain things. I'm lactose, gluten, corn and fructose intolerant though. As long as I avoid those, I'm fine. Mercola suggests the metabolic type diet because it's how your body processes or metabolizes things that affects your health. I'm a mixed type which means I need 50% complex carbs, 40% protein and 10% oils. Only vegetables, fish, meats and fats for now. He also suggests quinoa, millet and amaranth. After 3-6 months I can add fruit and possibly oats. I still have heavy metals and fungus in me according to Mercola's docs...this was based on Autonomic Response testing only as well as my symptoms. The fact that I have the vision and brain probs is a classic symptom of fungus according to the doc. A stool and urine sample will provide more specific results. I'll take those in 3 days because I had to be off antifungals and probiotics for 2 weeks...didn't want to do that but at least I'll have a more definitive idea of what I'm working to kill off! I see them next week for more nutrition advice and EFT. - PH > > > > > > > > Hi All, > > > > I'm just curious what everyone's eating tonight. Guest guest
Dede, I know what you mean...sugar no longer appeals to me other than for 30 seconds and I know it's not worth the 30 seconds of satisfaction! I ended up making beef stew that was delicious. It was grass-fed beef, new potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, zuchini, and garlic...all safe except I added a cup of red wine for flavor. I was so gassy this morn! I knew I shouldn't have put the wine in there but I wanted it to taste good for my husband. I need to learn more about herbs and use them instead! I'm going to have to check out that raspberry chipotle sauce. Is it bottled or do you make it yourself? I'm doing better today...thanks for asking. Hope you're doing ok, Sweetie. Guest guest
I do my tilapia on the stove top in a skillet, cook with a little olive oil or butter, cover fish with fresh lemon juice and sprinkle generously with dill weed. Also can add a little garlic pepper and other herbs to taste. Cook low and only a few minutes until cooked through. Absolutely delicious. Can use lime instead of lemon. Works with orange roughy, mahi-mahi and salmon also, of course salmon takes longer to cook. Just keep the temperature low and cook it slowly to keep the moisture in. I cover it while it is cooking.
