Guest guest
Hi all: Terrie who is on this list got a hold of me and gave me a number of a place I could call about a free, yes I said free, glucometer. It is called The Oracle glucometer. Apparently you have to get sighted assistance to set it up, but once it is set up you are set to go. You need very little blood and you get your results in six seconds. I am so happy and relieved. i will be able to take my blood sugar independantly again. yayayayayayayayayayayayayay! has anyone besides Terrie had experience with this machine? Guest guest
I really like the Orical glucometer and I like the fact that I can take it with me anywhere I go. It is so compact. The other thing I like is that I am no longer at war with social services. That is a good feeling. I am glad to be able to help you, . Hope one of the two glucometers works for you. Terrie with Jade, shandar and Eunice. yee haw! I am excited. Guest guest
Hi Dave, I have seen the Oracle and it is very much like the Prodigy Auto Code with the same amount of accessibility. It speaks only the test results and the rest needs to be set up by a person with sight. Guest guest
The orical it small enough to fit in the palm of the hand and speaks very clearly and it only has one large button when you put the strip in it tells you the temprature of the room and to put the blood on the strip and fairly soon after that will tell you what the reading is. It does not take very long at all. I really like it. When I first got it the druggest set it up for me. that way I did not have to fool around with all that stuff as I am not very good at setting it up so when it needs a new battery I can just take it back and they will reset it for me again. Once it is set up I can just begin using it again. yee haw! I am excited.
