Hi ,

I started to post this to you a couple of days ago but decided

against it. Well, I am going to do it anyway and as you know I am

not a doctor so ask the Onc. tomorrow.

was plagued with the runs so bad when he was on the 5 FU that

he was miserable.

On WEB MD, Judy a nurse posted a formula recommeded by MD .

I did some research for myself and found the same thing. They said

to take Immodium a couple of times a day. In addition to take

Metamusil diluted with only about 4 oz of water instead of eight. He

took the Metamusis 2 to 3 times a day. tried it and it really

seemed to help.

My fear in posting this was if someone with a obstruction would take

it I don't know if it could cause more of a blockage. This was

strictly for diareah caused by chemo. We diluted 's with

cranberry juice and got the smooth version of Metamusil.

Merry Christmas
