Guest guest
Lynda, Did you find them in England if so give me the details and I will contact them? Are you up so early because you feel bad? I hope not. I will keep looking for you……you go and get some deserved rest. God Bless Sue From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Lynda Roth Sent: 07 March 2008 10:29 Subject: Re: LYNDA LEA Hi Sue, The ones I found they say you need about six of them and change them off, and they have to be kept really cold, even more than in a cooler with much ice. I may be stuck with the make shift one I used like last time and hope for cooperative nurses. I am up at 3:00 A.M. taking Ativan and nibbling on crackers. I will go back to bed soon. Guest guest
Sue, This is the contact info., but there are none in the U.S. right now. They want a fortune to rent them, about $250 a month, and say they have to be kept colder than in a cooler and must be handled by medical staff, which is not going to happen here. I need something that I can do myself or the nurses can improvise. I had to get up and take an anti nausea pill, then now I am back up to nibble on something to stop the nausea. Will go back to bed in a few minutes and rest, probably not any more sleep this morning. Darn, too early to be up. Guest guest
Sue, thank you so much for helping us find these Cold Caps...you are an angel. I wonder if you could call a cancer centre there, they should know about these things....if not, why not? We hope that you are having a good day, and we wish that we knew what could be causing your dizzy spells. It must be extra hard for you, because you still have children to care for. Honey, please do not get too stressed out over things. I get stressed out over most everything, and I must stop, because it is destroying my immune system even more. We all seem to be so fragile after having these devices. Sending love and hope to you....Lea and ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``` Re: LYNDA LEA>>>>Hi Sue,>>The ones I found they say you need about six of them and change them>off, and they have to be kept really cold, even more than in a cooler>with much ice.>>I may be stuck with the make shift one I used like last time and hope>for cooperative nurses.>>I am up at 3:00 A.M. taking Ativan and nibbling on crackers. Guest guest
Lynda, honey, they want to make money on people who are sick, and they are sick for doing this. We hope that you will find one soon, because it will help to give you comfort. called several places in Vancouver, and she could not find any. I bet you were wondering what 'sprockles' are. They are 's invention. They are cheese chips that he bakes in the oven. He started making these many years ago, and wants to come to visit to get to taste his sprockles...his name for them. We hope that you start to feel better soon, the nausea sounds awful. Sending love and health to you...Lea and ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~```` Re: LYNDA LEA>>>>Hi Sue,>>The ones I found they say you need about six of them and change them>off, and they have to be kept really cold, even more than in a cooler>with much ice.>>I may be stuck with the make shift one I used like last time and hope>for cooperative nurses.>>I am up at 3:00 A.M. taking Ativan and nibbling on crackers. Guest guest
Lea, It’s not looking good, my local cancer hospital does use the cold caps but won’t sell them, they told me they have to be used by a trained nurse. I will keep trying though I am not going to give up yet. I want so much to get one for Lynda; I will be bitterly disappointed if I cannot. I wish this dizziness would go it totally dominates my life, I wish I could speak to someone else who gets it like me, that would help To know I am not the only one. How’s that leg doing today? Guest guest
A trained nurse would be using the cold cap. After all, they are used in the infusion room with trained nurses.
