Weaning off Valtrex & Diflucan?

I am considering weaning my son off Valtrex/Diflucan and would like to know the

safest way to do this. We keep upping his dosage and are no longer seeing any

positive effects - nothing negative either - just no effect at all. We have

recently begun homeopathy treatments for him and, after just one dose of the

first remedy, are already seeing a positive change. We are actually considering

weaning him off all his current supplements including the methyl b-12 shots,

which he's been on for over a year, and the Enhansa.

Thoughts? I would appreciate your feedback. Thank you! :)

Micha,

Be careful. We tried to wean our son off Diflucan and

saw things we haven’t seen in years. It is doing something.

It is keeping the overgrowth of yeast and viruses in check and the old symptoms

might return if you stop them.

You don't have to wean off an antiviral or antifungal. As a matter of fact, stopping right now when you think you aren't seeing anything may be very helpful to you as many times people that have been on it for a while want to stop thinking they aren't getting anything out of it only to find out after a week or two that everything comes back. So it's good to do if you need verification. You'll find out one way or another. Just remember, if you need to go back on it, you should likely start with a different antiviral. But also keep in mind that you may have just needed to switch your antiviral in the first place.
