Ann-Marie... Like everything else in this world, it's going to take time

to change the Catholic church. I really look forward to seeing a woman

pope!!!! But I don't think that will happen in my life time. I've

come across a few priests who were less than caring and more demanding

than I care to see. While I love the Catholic church, I no longer

attend service. Now, I would find it almost impossible getting up and

down during the service.

I remember attending mass in a HUGE Roman Catholic church in Oakland,

Calif. when I was younger. It was truly awesome. I tend to enjoy the

older churches more than the modern ones which can be so stark.... Yet I

feel God is every where and a church is not needed to experience his

power.

We need more nun's like you... it would make such a difference in how

quickly things change. Hang in there... we know you've got the Nun of

the year award...

Happy New Year to you Ann-Marie

Take care,

Vicki

I've been to Rome. Saw the Vatican and the rest of the sights

there. Pretty awesome place. The saddest part was the Catacombs,

where the early christians hid. There are still mummified bodies of

children there, like they were curled up sleeping. Too sad.
